5.0 out of 5 stars couldn't live without a swaddling blanket
My little man loves to be swaddled. I'm convinced he sleeps MUCH better when swaddled. And theyse types of blankets are much easier than trying to swaddle with a traditional blanket.

3.0 out of 5 stars Shrinks!
I bought these for swaddling now that the weather is getting a bit warmer. I love the design of these as I've had the microfleece one since my LO was born and she sleeps soundly in it nightly. These are the same great design, but the material shrinks when washed. They are now unusable and I have wasted my money. Fantastic item in a different fabric or if you cold wash...

My baby is 1 month old and barely fits into it. May be few more days and this will be useless...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for newborns, but has limitations, November 18, 2011
This review is from: Summer Infant 2 Pack Cotton Knit Swaddleme, Green/White (Baby Product)
When your baby is a newborn, this product is superb. You're lacking sleep and eye-hand coordination, so this product makes things so convenient for you.

Unfortunately for me, after my baby reached 2-3mos old, she figured out how to wiggle her hands out and they would peek out. This wasn't a problem until she was suddenly able to get her arms peeking out. She still had the startling reflex, so she would wake up constantly!

So, I was forced to use the HALO sleepsacks and not put her arms through the arms holes (she was breaking through the velcro again). I'm mentioning all of this just in case you might be having the same problem as me. I now use the HALO on a daily basis.

Overall, I like this product because it was very helpful in the beginning months. Also, I carry this product in my diaper bag just in case my baby is having a hard time napping while away from home. (swaddled-arms-only in the car seat)

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for baby when small, but outgrows quickly, December 29, 2011
This review is from: Summer Infant 2 Pack Cotton Knit Swaddleme, Green/White (Baby Product)
I love the swaddleme blankets. However, some of them don't have the velcro in the right place and are unusable. Over time, the cotton ones have either shrunk, or my baby at just over 11 lbs is too big for the small size that should go up to 14 lbs. She cries because we are trying to get her into them tightly and some we can't even get around her anymore. Even the ones that are on snugly she can get her arms out. I don't understand how the leg pouch can come undone for a diaper change since you have to fasten one of the arm wings to the pouch to get it fastened. I got a pack of microfleece ones by mistake and they were very large for the small size. At 11 lbs, she is just beginning to be able to use them. Before, she would somehow end up with the fleece over her mouth and I was worried she would suffocate herself. I like the product, I just wish it lasted longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for our 4 month old!, February 21, 2012

We purchased this out of desperation due to our son breaking out of the Anais + Aiden swaddle blankets (now 3 years old and probably way too soft to stay in a tight swaddle). I am now purchasing 2 more so that I can actually get the first one in the wash! I purchased the Large size and it works great for our 4 month old who is 14+ lbs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful..., February 13, 2012

Our baby invokes the ghost of Houdini when swaddled. She squirms and fights and grunts until her arms are free. I half expect her to spit a hidden handcuff key from between her gums at any second. We got the Swaddleme 2 pack hoping that they would help.

They did a good job of adding another safe layer for her while she sleeps to keep her warm. They also are quick and easy to apply. We opted to stop trying to keep her contained as much, so we go with the hands free method and it works fine.

The complaints are minor, but exist. The main issue is they are small. Our baby is wee, 15th percentile, and she is already outgrowing at them at 6 weeks. She is still smaller than the bigger newborns out there, so it's easy to envision this size being useless pretty quickly for regular or jumbo babies (she may JUST be weighing in at 10lbs now).

Other than that, just little to be expected things. My wife doesn't like the way the velcro rubs her when she breastfeeds, and like any other velcro stuff be sure to activate it to itself before putting it in the wash or it will tear up other clothes.

Over-all I would buy them again even though we don't get the full straight jacket mode in play, but would for sure size up even with our tiny girl to get a longer use out of them.

These swaddlers are a life-saver. They make safely swaddling my newborn super easy and effective. I purchased these in both cotton and fleece and use both all the time. The cotton versions seem to run a bit smaller than the fleece. If your baby likes to be swaddled these are a must-have. Don't even bother with traditional blankets!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great while they fit!, January 28, 2012
This review is from: Summer Infant 2 Pack Cotton Knit Swaddleme, Green/White (Baby Product)
These were a God-send for our daughter, who wore them both at night and for naps. However, they do shrink horribly in the wash, then stretch ridiculously after a few uses, then shrink again when you wash them... They say up to 14 pounds, but our daughter was no longer comfortable in these by about 11.5 pounds. The velcro also wore out, but I feel like we got good use out of them first. We had three that we rotated for about 7 weeks before moving up to the larger size at 11 weeks/12 pounds. They're also a good weight... we used them through winter, but our daughter does not like to be too warm, so this fabric worked well. They're not perfect, but they're indespensible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Swaddle Ever, January 8, 2012
I tried multiple brands of swaddlers and this was by far the best. It is easy to use and stays put. My newborn sleeps very comfortably in them. The only thing is - it shrinks in warm water --- either by a larger size or wash in cold water.
