It's sturdy and and the panels lock into place where you want them - great features. The only problem I had - they put these panels together backwards (they alternate), So when I tried to connect this extension with the other six panels, they didn't match up. I had to unscrew the knobs on top to reconnect them correctly. This wouldn't have been a big deal (bc you have to unscrew at least one knob anyway to connect them) but the panels look so simlar that it took me a while to figure this out, so by the time I got done putting all 8 panels together I was exhausted and frustrated. But it's done now and I really like it. Overall I would definitely recommend this. Hopefully, yours will come together in the correct order!! ;)

This extension kit is a must-have if you own The Secure Surround Play Yard. It makes the play area MUCH MUCH bigger. I couldn't imagine putting my daughter in anything smaller! She is an active crawler and gets frustrated in confined places.

I received the 6 piece base unit a few days before this arrived and my 10 month old fussed whenever I put him in it- there wasn't as much room as I had hoped. Then we received the extentions- the amount of room it added was amazing!
He happily plays in it, and I can get in, too!

The extension is nice, but it was hard to add. You have to twist the gate in a wierd way and the knobs were hard to twist. The extra space is nice.

The extender panels arrived without instructions. It took me about 1/2 an hour to figure out how to add them, and I am usually pretty good with item assembly. I recommend buying two or three extender panel kits if you have a small child because they will need room in which to move around. Also, the panels aren't as see-thru as the picture would have you believe, so children really cannot see you very well through the panels (I am the mother of an 8 month old girl and she cries if she can't see me).

We are grandparents, use this play yard very successfully with our toddler grands, easy to set up, convenient to store. We love it!

as simple as that... it floats freely, we can not use the lock, so we had to tie the extension to the main thing using a tape.. now we have a doorless playyard.

good product. instructions were difficult to understand, but once I got the gate apart, the extension was easy to install and it added so much room! I especially like the couple extra inches in height in this gate/play yard as opposed to similar products. Nice and sturdy too. My pets can't knock it over. Good product.

The extension kit itself is fine. It fits with the play yard. The install was a bit of a pain but we got it to work. The whole yard itself is the problem. Its flimsy and when my daughter leans into it, it slides and could potentially be knocked down. I'm not a fan.

Our baby is 9 months old and loves to crawl backwards and hide under furniture. We HAD to have something to pen her in if we wanted to walk away for even a moment. Once we put this up, my wife was so happy that she got her life back and could do other things while our baby played safely (and not under furniture).

The main issue is that the extension kit comes with instructions, BUT the instructions do not include how to add the kit onto the 6-panel yard. I had to use a screwdriver to undo a knob and move it so that I could attach the extension properly. Nowhere in the instructions does it say you have to unscrew the knob from the side and attach it to the appropriate side. (Perhaps I had a defective extension with the knob on the wrong side, but either case there was no other way it could line up properly on the 6-panel yard.)

So we love the amount of enclosed space that it added, but that time grumpily wasted trying to figure out how to make the extension go in place was maddening and worthy of knocking off one star.
