This isn't a bad product, but it's not great, either...,

I was shocked when I read the other reviews and saw all the problems everyone else is having with this tub. I really haven't had any problems with the tub. The shower feature works fine, and my baby, who HATES baths, settles right down when I spray her all over with the gentle spray. One time I thought the shower was broken because I pushed the button and it only dripped water, but then I found that the hose had a kink in it, and once I fixed that, it worked fine again. Here are the things I like about the tub: What I don't like about the tub: All in all, this tub gets the job done. I'm not disappointed that I bought it. I have not experienced any malfunctions with the product yet, and I've used it quite a few times. I think the biggest advantage of the tub is the shower, which makes it super easy to rinse baby and wash baby's hair.

best tub I've found, but shower was useless,

I've been through 2 others and now I've finally found what we need in a tub. It's roomy, easy to clean and it has a convenient handle which doubles as a hanging hook. The sling fits nicely into the tub, but it doesn't leave a bigger baby much leg room. Since mine is sitting up now we don't use it much. The thing I thought was this tub's best feature, the shower, is actually the biggest disappointment. The stream of water is a fine mist which may be good for a newborn's delicate skin, but there's no way to adjust it to a faster flow for a quick rinse or to wash suds out of baby's hair. I had better luck using a cup. It's also not very easy to hold since you have to press a button which is directly above the stream of water. The worst feature of the shower is it's loud motor. It terrifies my 11 month old to the point where I have to cut the bath short, so we just don't use it anymore. I've seen this shower sold separately. I wish they sold the tub separately because it's perfect by itself. The shower only jacks up the price and takes up space in the house.

Not too impressed,

This tub is ok. The first time we used it, the plug did not fit properly and water drained out all over our floor. The sling doesn't work well...our baby sinks down so low into it that she is hard to wash and she looks totally uncomfortable. When putting the sling up into the higher position, she slides down into the tub because there is no support to hold her up...and washing a baby with one hand while holding her up with the other is definatley not my idea of making bath time easier. The water sprayer is the only part of hte tub that I am happy with. The container that holds the water has a water temperature indicator so you can be sure the water is not too hot or cold and the sprayer has a gentle spray that rinses soap well. My baby loves the spray of the water. All in all, its an ok tub...just make sure the plug is in snugly and don't buy it because of the sling. **********REVISED*****************

It seemed like a good idea......,

I was so excited when I saw this tub! What a great idea! After buying a few unsuccessful tubs, this one was a dream come true! My daughter was 8 months when I bought it, she was very scared of the noise the shower made. Needless to say, I do not use the shower anymore. It was quite a hassle anyway, the water did not spray as wonderfully as I had imagined. It sort of plopped out with very little force. I did keep the tub and I still use it. It is the only tub I can find with a large area with no crevices and a removable sling. It is very easy to clean and my daughter still sits in it at one year old (inside the big bathtub). I plan to keep the sling and tub for baby #2 one day. I am very happy with those two pieces. It's too bad the shower did not live up to expectations...

This tub is horrible. I was so excited about getting it and then when I got it home the shower wouldnt work. So I took it back and got another one. The shower worked but in order to spray your child you have to hold the button in the hold time and the stream is really really light so it isnt very effective. Then when you let go of the button it proceeds to spray for a few more seconds. I got this shower to work twice. The first time it worked fine the second it took me twenty minutes to get the shower to spray you had to hit the button just right too hard and it wouldnt spray too light and it wouldnt spray and by the time I figured out the right amount of pressure to apply to the stupid button the water was cold. The other problem I found with the tub was that it squishes the baby's "bottom" against the shower and I have a boy so I can just imagine that it isnt that comfortable. So once the shower quit working again I went and got the Euro Bath it is the best tub (and I have tried out a lot) it holds my son securely without squishing anything "important" and allows him to splash and play he LOVES the tub, and it is the same price as this one. I feel bad for the people who have bought this tub and posted a postive review before using this tub more than one time. It is a great idea but needs some major work. All in all I was totally disappointed. I had the summer tub infant sling tub that folds up and was very happy with it so I thought for sure that I would be happy with this one also... Think twice before buying this one.

I was very excited to get this bathtub. It looked like such a great idea, and so easy. However I experienced the same problems as all of the other consumers. After only two uses the motor quit working. Turns out the batteries corroded inside and has ruined the shower. I had to throw it out because there was no way of fixing it. I have emailed the company about this problem. Hopefully they will rectify the problem with their product.

I just wanted to let all the moms that have wrote a bad review about the shower that I had the same problem with the shower not working. I contacted the Summer Inc at 1-800-268-6237 and they sent me a new one no questions asked. I didn't have to give then proof of purchase or anything. They said it was a problem that they have fixed in the new models. The new one works great.

Big disappointment in product and company,

I received this shower/tub as a gift after putting it on my registry. It looked like it would be great, however, the shower only worked the first two times I used it, then it died. I contacted the company via email. I didn't get the friendly response I expected, i.e. some sort of apology or whatever, but instead received a flat, "give me your address and I'll send you another shower unit". Ok, fine...I received the new shower unit and guess what?...it didn't even work the first time we tried it! I contacted the company again several days ago and I'm still waiting for a response. I am still using the tub and sling (which is ripping and my daughter is only 9 weeks old) but she is already getting too long to use the tub in this position. She doesn't have much leg room even without the shower unit in there. I would never recommend this tub unless they improved on the design. It would be great if it worked!

This tub is the worst! I regret that I will have to drive all the way back to return it. We have not even had it 24 hours! We were excited to get it, thinking that the shower wand would be handy and fun. It worked once...poorly...then nothing. The motor is loud. The water takes a while to come out after pushing the button and stays on after releasing it. (Even the wand is hard to use the button is located in an akward location.) The stream is very weak and would not rinse well at all. The whole thing just feels cheap and rinky dink!

Tub portion is good, shower portion is junk,
By it_takes_a_village (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews

I was wooed by the shower gimmick and, as with almost every other poster, the shower component was initially very weak then broke within a few uses. At first I was going to return it but I decided to research other tubs and evaluate the tub portion separate from the shower. I realized that the tub component worked well for my child, he can sit up on his own so I use it without the sling and he loves to splash around in the water. Looking at other tubs the only comparable one seems to be the Eurobath, which costs the same. So, if you buy it for the tub portion alone it still seems like an ok buy. If you just think of the shower part as a free add-on that, if it doesn't work didn't cost you anything, than it's not a bad purchase but if you buy it expressly for the shower you will be disappointed. All in all the tub portion works well for me, my baby is happy in it so it is worth the money (twenty-five bucks).
