My only beef with it is that if you live in a warm climate, as we do, the fleece-like material that sits against your baby's back and bottom -- along with the waterproof backing -- has an insulating effect and traps body heat, thus causing your little one to turn into a little sweatball. Even in an air-conditioned vehicle, my baby practically roasts with this pad in place. If a more breathable material were available, I'd give it a 5-star rating, but the overheating factor is definitely an issue for us.
We have two of the older style PiddlePads and they don't stay in place nearly as well, although they are much better than nothing. These new ones also seem to be a little thinner which should be a little nicer in the summer months too.
I believe the liquid just went all down the hole for the buckle, either that or her wiggling dislodged it from its proper position. It would be nice if there was some way of actually fastening this to the seat so it stays put.
I won't be replacing this in her seat after the fiasco since it is black and retains heat more so than her lighter colored carseat cover. Given the heat wave, putting something useless for its original purpose on her seat that does nothing but make her sweat more is not going to happen. I really wish this would have worked!
One design change I wish they would make is to have neoprene surrounding the hole for the buckle to come through. They do provide coverage for the buckle strap with the piddle pad covering, but there are few spaces that leaks can get through on the side and back of the hole that a neoprene enclosure might help prevent.
Other than that I think it works very well for the price tag it carries. If you have 2 cars I recommend buying 2 packages -- one pad for each car and one for a back-up for each car when they need to be washed!

I'm impressed. So far no large 'accidents', so I can't vouch for how much it will or will not hold. But I Like it!Published 7 days ago by JANET S.
This is good it's washable and it helps prevent any accidents in the car seatPublished 9 days ago by justeen
Good for absorbing every accident our daughters has had... Much easier to bring it inside, rinse and wash it, and bring it back to the car the next day. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Leah
I love this so much! My children have dumped a whole kids size drink on them and the car seat stayed dry!! Read morePublished 2 months ago by Amazon Customer
This had been great while potty training both of my children. The Piddlepad is very durable and stays soft even after lots of washes. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Heather Mosher
It doesn't work. Pee forms a lake and seeps through and around the pad and so you just have another soaking wet piece in their car seat.Published 2 months ago by molly
