Summer Infant SwaddleMe Cotton WrapSack - What a Hoot- Small

Provide the perfect transition from swaddle to wearable blanket. SwaddleMe WrapSack is a safer alternative to loose blankets in the crib. It comfortably swaddles baby's arms while allowing for more leg room and movement. Baby can sleep with both arms in, both arms out, or one of each. Simple and easy to use, WrapSack grows with baby as they learn to sleep without being swaddled.

Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

This print was really cute and the fabric is a nice soft cotton.

Overall I really loved this wrap sack and would suggest it to anyone looking to start transitioning to a blanket.
Momoftwo
One day our baby likes both arms swaddled and the next day she seems to want to be free.

Summer Infant has a few swaddling blankets, and I'll compare two of them, the ComfortMe and SwaddleMe, with the Halo Sleepsack. The price is comparable for all of them, but they have slightly different purposes.

The Halo Sleepsack is rated 0-9 months, and it runs long enough to fit a large baby. However, it's like a tank top on top with a sleeping bag on the bottom, and one zipper down the center front.

In addition to the tank top top, the Summer Infant SwaddleMe Wrapsack has "arms" that velcro down to keep baby's arms tucked in nicely. When the baby wants her arms out, you can wrap the blanket arms around her torso under her arms, so it's wearable both ways.

The Summer Infant ComfortMe does not have the tank top style top, but is more of a teeshirt style with batwing or flying squirrel arms, if that makes sense. This is for older babies that don't care for swaddling as much anymore, but it's before they can be put down with an actual blanket.

Both the SwaddleMe and ComfortMe wearable blankets have a zipper on the bottom, which is much easier than the Halo Sleepsack, although if it's a very messy diaper, you're going to throw it in the wash anyway, so the zipper is moot. All three wearable blankets are good to use, especially to prevent chills with AC, etc., but the WrapSack seems the most convertible and all-around useful if you want to try one. Otherwise, they're all useful at different times.

I had high hopes for this product and I wanted to like it, but it just frustrates me. First of all, as others have mentioned, the size small is HUGE. I mean huge, especially compared to the size small Original Swaddleme, which was what I was hoping this product would replace. There is just so much fabric! I have a chunky, 11 1/2 pounder and couldn't fasten the Velcro on the Swaddleme anymore, however with this thing he is positively swimming in it. I cannot get a tight swaddle and he had his arms out in 5 minutes. The panel that wraps across the chest and velcros to the other side is much narrower than than the Swaddleme and it gets all bunched up when he wiggles his arms around. It seems to me that all the pieces of this wrap just don't match up correctly - I have weird bunching and odd loose ends no matter how I try and finagle it. With a significantly higher price tag than the original, I'm not sure it's worth keeping. I did give 2 stars for the bottom zipper, that is pretty handy. But otherwise, not impressed.

My 2 month old is 61 cm, barely fits her. Wish I bought a bigger size

The design of this is awkward to use and I am not sure why anyone would pick this over the regular swaddle sack. There is just a lot on unnecessary material both in the swaddling portion up top and the sack at the bottom is baggies than the regular swaddleme. You can do arms out with the regular swaddle sack even thought seems not intended for that. Sleep sack with wings is similar to this but perhaps better (new sleep sack doesn't have detachable swaddle "wings" which is too bad). Material seems soft and similar to the regular swaddleme.

These make swaddling so easy. They're like little tiny straightjackets for babies.

Seriously, I was never adept at swaddling, and when I am taking care of a newborn, especially someone else's newborn, it is so important to be able to make the baby comfortable. These are very lightweight and are good for summer. I recommend them for new mothers, grandmas/friends who are out of practice, and daycare providers (they wash well).

There is SO much fabric up top that I worry about her suffocating. A small is very large. She's at a point where sometimes she wants hands out & sometimes swaddled down, so I got this. I liked that she could wiggle her arms up if she wanted. But the fabric chokes her. I gave it a few tries & it keeps me up at night. Plus their patterns are terrible!
It's main redeeming quality is the zipper at the bottom for easy diaper changes.

We have a 6lb newborn, and the Summer SwaddleMe WrapSack Blanket is a little big right now. It still works fine, but it runs big (as other commenters stated). The colors and owl designs are so cute. Our 2 year-old son loved being swaddled until he was 8 months, and we hoped that this baby would like it, too. Our newborn son does like being swaddled, but he likes his hands to be up by his face. This wrap sack allows us to do that. I definitely recommend.

Swaddlers are one of the greatest inventions ever and this swaddler is easy to use, is soft and cute. It holds its shape nicely after laundering and has quickly become a favorite of my daughter in law.

It is lightweight, perfect for those hot summer days, or even in the winter in a warm house.
