not as good as the fleece,
This review is from: Summer Infant Swaddleme Cotton Knit, Monkey (Baby Product)
for our newborn we had the yellow fleece swaddleme blanket which worked woderfully til he outgrew it and summer came along. then i bought the cotton knit one but its been disappointing so far. its probably cooler but does not fit as snuggly as the first.maybe he needs to grow into it but so far he wriggles his arms out no matter how we swaddle him beacuse its stretchy.sometimes i wake up to see the entire thing bunched up around his neck and his arms out-- while the velcro is still stuck together! its a lil scary because it seems like it might choke him if he got too agitated.

Out of all the things we bought for baby, a few stand out. The little bouncer that plays music (to have somewhere to put him once in awhile!), the changing table, pacifiers, and this swaddler are top of the list of "can't live withouts." First off, it's nice and tight, our little guy likes to scratch his face, and put his hands in his face in general. This prevents it. It calms him down immediately when we use it, (unless he's hungry) and I can't tell you the value of the "off switch" when he's in full scream! lol... ANYONE can use it w/out instruction- at first it appeared confusing, but Daddy got it right on the first try. (and he has trouble with normal blanket swaddling) so, it's Daddy's favorite thing. The best use by far though has been on the changing table. Like most babies, he HATES to be changed. I have found that if you leave the upper part of the swaddle on (while carefully separating the middle velcro, then pulling the "footie" part of the sack around his back) it will expose the entire lower half of his body, making it incredibly easy to change him- while he remains silent with the security of his arms wrapped up, and a pacifer in his mouth. Before this discovery, we had 12 screaming fits a day. This thing is a lifesaver. I think too, it can be used in the car! (it has what appears to be a seatbelt slot in the back) I have already bought 3 more- a couple in fleece, one in the larger size (3 month) and a some more cotton ones. AMAZING product. Don't be afraid to wrap him up tight! By the way- I also bought the "woombie" which is horrible, don't do it, trust me. New parents; remember- don't swaddle past the armpits when putting them down to sleep. (when awake, it's ok to swaddle to neck.) GET THIS and in high quantity! and for my last point... $10 is pretty darn cheap for this sort of parental relief in these first weeks of hell on earth- night feedings and dozen diaper days!

These swaddles are great because they keep the child secure. When my child got old enough to start rolling over, we stop swaddling the arms and just swaddle around the chest. It becomes a routine to wrap them up and put them to bed. My daughter actually smiles when I get the swaddle out, because she knows when it is time to go to sleep.

Someone got this for me as a baby gift and I wondered if we would ever use it... we use it EVERY NIGHT! Our baby was 7lbs when she was born and the small size didn't fit until she was about another pound heavier. She grew out of the small size pretty quickly (about 2-3 months) and I got the large size. She just turned 4 months and we are still using it every night. It keeps her swaddled throughout the night and she sleeps better. Its fabulous!

The cotton swaddleme is my favorite. I also have Anis & Aden blankets and a Halo Fleece swaddler, which work OK, but I now use the swaddleme every night. I am afraid of overheating so the cotton option is just right when paired with warm pajamas. And I have found the velcro to be more than sufficient. My little guy is as strong as they come and he has never broken out of his. For those who have that problem, they are probably using one that is too big.

Folks,
When my son was born, we had a lot of trouble with him wriggling out of his swaddle when he was asleep. His arms would get free and would wake himself up by flailing. This thing is basically a straight jacket THAT HE LOVES! He (almost) sleeps through the night now! As soon as we wrap him up in it when its bed time, he calms down and goes to sleep.

These are unbelievable comforts to have when your little one needs to be wrapped up. Honestly, it's so easy to use, but that's not even the best part. The best part is that lets the legs free while binding the arms, and for an infant that's older (ours is now 2 months), it's perfect. A full swaddle with his feet all wrapped up is too restrictive at this point, but his arms need to be bound, so this is ideal!
The designs are nice, cleaning is easy, and very easy to get on and off. I docked one star because for a smaller baby (like ours, at first), it's hard to get a good fit, even with the small. It would rise up too high and get close to his mouth/nose and that's no good, so we had to keep adjusting it. I wish there a smaller size for true newborns. But now that he's older, and grown well, the small is fine.

Great!!,

These are really great. My son has severe GER and these really help him control his reflux while he sleeps. Without these he would NEVER sleep - seriously, if you have a child with reflux these are a must. Our pediatrician recommended we purchase these and they absolutely work. They stay in place and our comfortable for our baby and easy to put on. The ONLY drawback is that the super strong velcro gets caught on everything else in the wash even when you make sure the tabs are securely stuck down. Also, the velcro has adhered to my clothes while taking a swaddle off and on and has snagged a couple sweaters. Overall though a fabulous price for a great product.

Great product! I bought this for my 4 week old daughter who was breaking out of her swaddle at night. With this product, she is now sleeping up to 7 hours without waking. I would recommend this to any new parent.

This is the only swaddler our baby likes and usually does not wiggle out of. It was too big at first but when you wash it (warm cycle instead of recommended cold one) and tumble dry it, it shrinks and fits perfectly.
