Piece of Junk,
This review is from: Summer Infant Tub Time Bubble Maker (Baby Product)
I purchased this a few months ago and threw it out after the first use. This seemed like it would be a fun toy for my boys as they both LOVE Bubbles but it broke during our first use. The toy apparently is not made to get wet but it is sold as a bath tub toy-go figure. As soon as the toy got wet the motor started slowing down and would no longer produce bubbles. I'm not talking submerged in water either- just wet from bath time splashing. A real piece of junk- save your money!

Not worth it,

I was not happy with this item. Even with the bubble reservoir completely full, only every other or every third wand produces a bubble as the wands rotate past the fan. I also didn't like that it wasn't designed to get wet - it's a BATH TOY for goodness sake! I'm returning it.

We've had this for about 3 months now and it still works great. The amount of bubbles this thing makes is insane! Very fun to use.

I searched high & low for a bubble machine for the bathtub that didn't have a lot of bells & whistles...this one is perfect! It blows LOTS of bubbles and the kids love it!!! A couple of bad things: it runs out of bubble solution really fast; the "wands" get kind of foamy with the solution and after several minutes of use the bubbles don't blow out but kind of pile up and hang off the machine in a big blob (I am wondering if I can find a way to take it apart and clean the wands); the suction cup looks good and strong but I am still afraid it will fall into the tub and short out so we set it on a shelf in the shower which works great. The cons aren't really that bad, overall this is a great product and I'm glad we have it.

Do not buy,

My child loves bubbles so we bought this for her. It did not work. It blew about 10 bubbles then started foaming. I followed all the instructions, cleaned it, tried again and got about the same results. For us it was a total waste of money.

Great entertainment in the bath,

My 16 month old loves bubbles, and bubbles in the bath is much better than bubbles on my living room carpet. The product is a little noisy...but who cares...you can barely hear it over my son's squeals from enjoyment at all the BUBBLES! I do not like the fact that there is one suction to hold it up on the bathroom wall. I would prefer two. However, it has not fallen...yet... good buy

BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!,
This review is from: Summer Infant Tub Time Bubble Maker (Baby Product)
I wish I had taken the majority of reviews to heart (and usually do), but I so badly wanted them to be wrong. Nope, they're right. This thing is junk. The first one we bought never worked at all. Like a complete fool, I returned it for another one, which worked for only 1 bath despite never getting wet. Don't do it. Just don't.

This is a neat idea. I got it for my niece who came to visit me. She is a 1 year old. At first she kinda liked to watch the bubbles... but because it was so noisy she started to cry and did not like it. Also the suction cup does not work very well. The device itself is so heavy that it slides down the glass of my shower door.

This item is awful. What a fun idea, and oh how poorly executed. This item is cruddy. Very very poorly designed. The bubbles don't gently float up like they do in the picture. It's more like a full on bubble assault! They shoot out in an aggressive horizontal line. It's terrible. You could NEVER sit your kid in front of it like they do in the picture. They would be taking an aggressive onslaught of bubbles to the face!! Oh!! And did I mention, their bubble solution BURNS!?!? You would think something they picture as floating into a child's face would have the sense to be tear free but I can promise you this is not. It got into my eyes and stung like crazy. What a poorly designed product. I returned mine immediately. When I went to remove my batteries to do so, i could see that the inside of the battery compartment was slimy with bubble solution. This, after ONE abbreviated use! This is a very poor quality product. Avoid!

Tons of bubbles!,
This review is from: Summer Infant Tub Time Bubble Maker (Baby Product)
I guess it depends on the exact bubble maker you get but ours is wonderful! The bubble solution that comes with it made so many bubbles that it made our bathroom floor wet. We ran out, and I mixed my 2 year old son's Johnson & Johnson soap with a little water and poured it in. Now the bubbles are perfect. It still makes a lot, but it doesn't touch our floor anymore, and I know exactly what soap is going into his bath. I would buy this again in a heart beat.
Let me add that yes, this is meant to be a bath toy, but anything with batteries is sensitive to water regardless of what the label says. That is why it is meant to be put up high on the bathtub tile. It is not meant to have water splashed all over it. The only thing that makes it a bathtub bubble maker is the suction cup, so remember that when you set it up. Definitely worth the $10! |
