This is an essential baby product. Very easy to put on and take off. Does not require you to remove EVERYTHING from the crib to pull up the mattress to change the sheet! Holds up well through many washings. Let's cute crib sheets show through on the side, while protecting the mattress surface. Fabric baby lays on is soft (and gets softer after several washings). I will be buying these for all my new-mom friends!

Per a previous reviewer, the sheet I received was NOT white, it was ecru. Fine if that was made clear, but it was not. The picture is misleading and should be updated, and the color should probably be specified in the text for clarity. Apart from the color, the sheet itself is fine - I have another that covers the crib mattress well. This is probably the only time I have ever felt let down by Amazon's web site...which isn't too bad on balance!

When my "new mom" friends ask about our favorite items, these top the list. We've used them happily with two children, over a period of 3 years, and they have a lot of life left. How it works: The UCS sits on top of a traditional crib sheet and fastens with elastic straps/snaps around the perimeter. (You will need a crib with slats for this product to work.) The benefit is that you can change the soiled bedding without removing the crib sheet, bumper, mobile, etc. May sound like no big deal to the uninitiated, but crib bedding is a pain to change, and you end up doing it a few hundred times over the life of the crib. This makes the process so much easier.
