Nice and soft but not necessary,
This review is from: Summer Infant Ultra Plush Change Pad Cover, Sage (Baby Product)
We have a few of these changing pad covers, which fit well on the Basic Comfort Contour Changing Pad. The Velboa material is plush and soft, and it would feel great next to our baby's skin-- if it ever came in contact with him! Because our baby is a boy (i.e., is prone to spraying) and is breastfed (i.e., drinks a natural laxative all day), we've found it's more convenient to put a flannel receiving blanket on top of the changing pad and just whip that off every time he gets it dirty. This happens at least once or twice a day, so it's much more cost-effective to have about a dozen inexpensive receiving blankets on hand than a dozen relatively expensive changing pad covers, unless you want to do the laundry every day. Maybe someday when our boy gets a little older and has fewer diaper changes, he'll be able to lie directly on top of the changing pad cover, at which point I'm sure he'll find it nice and comfy. For young infants, though, I'd recommend investing in quantity rather than quality.

Great Cover,

Easy to clean, great color, and durable. I received it as a hand-me-down and it still looked almost new. Now that my baby is out of diapers the changing pad cover will be passed on yet again. I wish more baby products had this kind of durability.

I have 2 Change Pad Covers. This and Munchkin. It's a world of difference so soft and fluffy this cover is. Though we have been washing this cover every other week (my baby is 3 mo old now), it still feels and looks like new.

So Much Better than Simmons,
This review is from: Basic Comfort Ultra Plush Changing Pad Cover (Baby Product)
These covers are awesome!!! I bought one by Simmons Kids first and as soon as I put it in the wash (on gentle cycle) it fell apart, so I went back and bought this one to try. It came out perfect with no annoying fussies and it is so soft. Spend the extra two dollars, it's so worth it. Oh, and it fits my contour changing pad, which I checked in the store since I bought that there too.

This cover is almost neon green. It's REALLY bright... so consider this before you buy it, considering if you like or do not like bright colors.

When I saw this, I was very excited. However, since my pad is raised on four sides, rather than two, it did not fit properly and I have to return it. What a bummer! I can't find a change pad cover that will fit my pad, so I guess I will have to go without.

Snappis don't get caught!,

This review is from: Summer Infant Ultra Plush Change Pad Cover, Sage (Baby Product)
I was using those terrycloth style covers that they have at babies r us. Those were fine, but we use snappi clips with our cloth diapers and they were always snagging on the terry. This cover never gets snagged by the snappis. I haven't washed it yet, but have been able to wipe off small poop stains with baby wipes. This is promising. Oh, and the terry cover would soak up pee sprays, while this one seems more waterproof, and I am able to blot it up with a washcloth. Is this TMI? Blotting and wiping? Sorry.

Lovely and soft- washes beautifully,

I love this pad cover. I use it on the basic comfort contoured changing pad and it fits beautifully. I actually have this pad cover in two colors (sage and lilac) so that I can have one on the pad when the other is in the wash. One word of advice, although the color says sage, the green is not sage at all. It is quite a bright vibrant green. I was really surprised about the color when it arrived in the mail but I love it- it is a lovely shade of green. This covers washes really nicely. I always wash it on cold and dry it on low and we've had no problems at all. My baby is now 4 months and although she's had some very messy accidents on this cover, it has not stained. I love that is very soft and velvety. I think it is good value for money.

SAGE is NOT SAGE- More like a Lime Green!,
By
This review is from: Basic Comfort Ultra Plush Changing Pad Cover (Baby Product)
Our son's room is a combination of brown and sage, so finding this changing pad in sage seemed perfect! However, when it arrived today- it turned out to be a VERY LIME GREEN! It is nice and soft, but the color could send you into color-shock if you're expecting what sage normally is.

Works fine, but not at all needed,

The pad cover works okay, but it was not very practical and it was therefore a waste of money for us. If your little one ever leaks or spills (as ours did a couple of times a day), you'll end up taking this off and washing it every time that happens. Instead, if you simply skip the cover, you can just wipe down the underlying (plastic) pad in a few seconds. Save your money (and laundry loads) and just use the pad itself!
