I am very pleased! The plant arrived quickly in excellent condition. The size is as described. I recently ordered a summer snow from another nursery for more money and higher shipping rate it was extremely small compared to the one shipped from Hirts, it quickly died! I recognize that this is a young plant and it may take a few years before it will bloom. I plan on keeping it inside at least for the first winter or two as I live in Zone 6b in NJ. I have been trying to grow the Summer Snow for awhile w\o success. However it will root in water. Once the plant is established, the bloom is huge and the fragrance is heavenly! FYI a 3 gallon size plant can be purchased in The Richmond VA area at the end of October?

It is now February, 6 months since purchased. The plant is indoors in a west window. It is doing very well. I gently spray it every few days and do not water often. Soggy soil will kill the plant. There is not much new growth yet. I expect once it is spring the plant will start making new leaves. So far so good, the leaves have not turned yellow or brown as others have done before they died. Fingers crossed!

When I received my summer snow gardenia in a sealed box, I admit I was nervous with the condition of the plant. However, it was packaged very carefully and when I removed the packaging, I was happy to see the leaves a healthy green, and the plant even larger then the planter it was in. The only reason I only gave it four stars, is I only just received it, and waiting to see how it grows now that I've planted it in a nice size planter so I can enjoy it inside during the cold months, and brighten the outside in the warm months.

I ordered 3 of these and was very impressed with how well they were packaged. I ended up giving one to my mom and so I just decided to order three more. I can't wait until they mature and bloom. Unfortunately, that won't be another couple of years.
