Summerhill Secrets is a super novel about a 15 yr. old girl, Merry, who follow's God's law and grows as a teenage Christian. The 5 stories in this book are very well written and interesting. This book was a quick read, but still awesome and I learned a lot about the Amish too. Have fun with Merry as she experiences everyday things teenagers can experience today. Summerhill Secrets by Beverly Lewis is definitley a 5 star, must read, book for any Christian teen.

I did not know that it was a book for teenager girls but I enoyed it immensely. It was entertaining.

I'm 14 years old and I must say that this book was a very interesting one. Though I was quite intrigued and enthralled in the beginning, I found as the story went along I was bored and hoping for more. Each book was on a different topic, but they were all the same. The girl has a problem befall upon her and then it is solved by the end. Every time there is some difficulty, even if it is serious, it is solved sooner then is usual in the real world. All in all it was an astounding book and I would suggest reading, there is no harm in doing so.

I bought this audio book to entertain our granddaughter and grandson, ages 9 and 11, on our trip to Amish Country in Lancaster, County, PA. Not only was the audio book entertaining but it was also very educational. Many of the customs of the Amish were explained in the stories as the extremely well read plot unfolded. Our grandkids didn't want us to turn the story off when we had to stop for a 'pit stop' enroute to Lancaster. The books are great for both girls and boys and my husband and I enjoyed them as much as the kids.

I was surprised by the format of this book which deviates from other Beverly Lewis books. It is a series of short stories featuring the main character, Merry. I was also surprised that it was for preteens and early teens. When I purchased the book, I did not see it listed for youth, and it should have been. The stories are good stories about encouraging teenagers to make good decisions, helping neighbors and doing the right thing.

With Beverly Lewis, you know it's going to be eye catching. You can count on consistent solid Amish portrayals in all of her characters. This book is different in that the main character is not Amish. She is, rather, a girl who lives in Amish territory who has Amish friends. This book is also different because it isn't one continuous plot but several short stories within one text. It kept me entertained, and the characters in all the plots are related in enough of a fashion to tie the whole book together. Thanks, Beverly, for another good read.

Enjoy the story of this book. We live in amish community.. Love to have them as neighbors...A very interesting book.
