Beautiful, varied and fun!,

After having the pleasure of seeing Jon Dee Graham perform live (which was a treat in itself!), I purchased this CD. It now lives in my CD player. The songs are beautiful and earthy, sometimes funny and sometimes mysterious but always real. Mr. Graham's voice conveys these songs in a heartfelt rumble. Buy this CD!

Although legendary in his hometown of Austin, Texas, Graham is not nearly as well known as he should be elsewhere. This may not be his best album, but it is a good introduction to his music. Try also his his newest, "It's Not As Bad As It Looks", "Full" and a collection of his songs performed by other Austin artists entitled "Big Sweet Life". But catch him live if you can. When not touring, he plays every Wednesday night at the Continental Club in Austin, Texas.
