[One of 8 outstanding cookbooks every home cook should own] We made our criteria simple and home cook-centered: Cookbooks should have good storytelling that sets the food in context, instructions that are clear, and a visual sensibility that invites and inspires. A truly great cookbook should both challenge and comfort you, but most important, it should get used in the kitchen. So go ahead, splatter and stain those pages…” ~Epicurious

I have a deep passion for, and love of discovering the foods throughout America, and my inquisitive palate is simply enchanted by down home, feel good, Southern comfort food. Beautiful pictures of the dishes she teaches you how to make, and the hard back book makes it look so nice and sturdy, instead of a paperback recipe book. I even went to the flagship store and had Ann Quatrano sign it before I gifted it to my friend.
This is a perfect kitchen counter display book, or even coffee table book. The cover visually pleasing all the heirloom tomatoes! You can definitely judge this book by its cover!

Excellent and beautiful book with great recipes! Sent to my mom who used to live near the restaurant and she cooks from it regularly.
I got one usable recipe out of this book. Ingredients nearly impossible to find. Evidently, they just catc their food out in the yard. Not for me.Published 16 months ago by Kati Maines
