I can honestly say I am already hooked, I can't wait to see what happens next in Summer's journey.
This story will draw you in. Her story is believable and relatable to women everywhere, if only in fantasy. A very intriguing storyline that I intend to follow, who knows where this could go!

The "Summer's Journey" series marks Summer Daniels' debut as an author. All I can say is: WOW! What a debut! Please don't be hesitant to dive into Summer's work because you think a new author doesn't quite have "the magic" yet. I can assure you that Summer absolutely does have the magic. She writes like a seasoned professional. The style she has chosen for "Summer's Journey" is that of a memoir, first person account, which makes perfect sense as this is a true romance/erotic story. But it doesn't have the stodginess of a memoir. Quite the opposite in fact. The pace is good, there is intrigue, suspense, excitement, ups and downs, and a few laughs. All that and this is just the introduction to the series.

"Volume One - Losing Control" is the introduction to the "Summer's Journey" series. It is where we meet the main characters and get an insight into the story that is to unfold. Summer has just recently come out of a fairly lacklustre marriage and instead of crying in her Wheaties she decides to move on with her life. She hits the online hook-up sites looking for some action. At first, this doesn't go too well. Her inbox quickly overflows with replies to her ad from, well, lets just say from less than articulate men. Now Summer wasn't looking for Mr Right, she wanted Mr Right Now, but he should at least be able to maintain a conversation. Then along comes Mark.

Summer and Mark exchange a few emails and eventually agree to meet. At their first meeting Summer learns that Mark is in a similar situation to her own. He is recently divorced as well. There is definitely a spark between them, but when Summer comes right out and tells Mark that she'd like to take him upstairs to have her wicked way with him, he turns her down! Mark tells her that he wants more than a one night quick romp. Gulp! Poor Summer isn't looking for any commitments here, she just wants to get laid. Then Mark drops the real bomb shell. When they do get to the horizontal pleasure zone he wants control. Total and complete control. Double GULP! But before Summer has time for that to fully sink in Mark gets up and leaves. Summer is left sitting there by herself wondering what the hell just happened.

That is nowhere near the whole story of Volume One, but it is all I'm going to give up in this review. The rest is even better than what I've described here. You are going to love it, and I guarantee that when you get to the end the first thing you'll want to do is read the next installment.

Summer Daniels is an author to watch out for and "Summer's Journey: Volume One - Losing Control" deserves every single one of the five stars I gave it.

Summer's journey is the story of a woman reinventing herself and giving total control over to a stranger in order to explore a side of her sexuality she never knew. She is living every woman's fantasy! I can't wait to read what happens next. VERY well written.
