An addictive read,

This review is from: A Summerstoke Affair (Paperback)
This is a great, feel-good story. Based in a village near Bath, it introduces you to a colourful cast of characters with some great story lines. It has a little bit of everything, some skulduggery, some romance, some Hollywood and some humour. I couldn't put it down and indeed stayed up until the early hours to finish it to see how it all unravelled. Although based in the current day, it has a feel of an age gone by, when people did look out for each other and villages were real communities. Sadly I don't think there are many places like Summerstoke today, reading this book makes you wish there were. If you like a good yarn with great characters who you can either love or hate, you'll love this book. Cross AE Bates with RF Delderfield and you have A Summerstoke Affair.Loved it |
