I probably WILL be singing this chorus in the shower
OK, "Summerzcool" isn't a totally new and unique track. However, it's summer! And for all of us who date back to the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, we just want fun music to load up and take to the beach. Jimmy's new one here fills the bill. I was rockin' from the first few notes. I'd plunk down my 99 cents again if it was necessary to get it.

We've heard this before....
This review is most likely going to upset some Parrotheads. Having collected a lot of his stuff on vinyl, tape, CD and lately DVD, Jimmy's latest effort is...boring. Yes, it's from the ambassador of summer, the crowned prince of hedonism and the self-proclaimed ruler of Margaritaville. And it's still...boring. Remember Math Suks from Beach...

This review is most likely going to upset some Parrotheads. Having collected a lot of his stuff on vinyl, tape, CD and lately DVD, Jimmy's latest effort is...boring.
Yes, it's from the ambassador of summer, the crowned prince of hedonism and the self-proclaimed ruler of Margaritaville. And it's still...boring. Remember Math Suks from Beach House on the Moon? Remember What if the Hokey-Pokey.... from Far Side of the World?? Then you've heard Summerzcool. Completely predictable lyrics, uninspiring melody lines and chorus that you won't find yourself singing in the shower. Yes, it's from Jimmy and so yes, you'll plunk down the $.99 for it and add it to your iPod. It seems like, lately, all of his best stuff is covers (look at License to Chill). It's kind of sad to think that Jimmy's hit this wall after all these years of songwriting & story telling. If there was just some way for him to get back to those Barometer Soup or Fruitcakes days - now that would be cool...
