It rescued a very important shirt! My son had taken his brand new, white cotton, team shirt and slid around in lake mud/slime mixed with algae and who knows what else. I washed it 4 times with a wide variety of products including spray-n-wash, bleach, oxy-clean, ammonia, vinegar...literally trying anything to try and save this shirt. The black streaks remained very prominent. It looked like a filthy rag! Then I tried White Brite. HOLY SMOKES! I put some hot water in a large pot, poured in this powder (which doesn't smell very good, I'm afraid), then dipped in the shirt. The stains disappeared IMMEDIATELY! Seriously, they were gone completely. Of course, then I had to dip in everything I could find that was white. This stuff is amazing. It is less effective on red clay stains...they came out lighter, but were not removed completely (still an improvement over bleach and oxy-clean!). It is wonderful for safely removing unwanted yellowing, accidental dye transfers in the wash, and stubborn organic-based stains. I will definitely keep this in my arsenal!

I also found this once and could not find it again, but last month I found it at Wal-Mart but NOT with the other cleaners. Today I looked again and could not find it so I came home and searched Amazon. I was so pleased to find I can order it and have it delivered right to me. It keeps my towels white without yellowing like bleach can and I use a small amount for delicate whites too. For especially dingy or dirty whites I have even soaked them overnight before finishing the wash cycle and it works wonderfully.

I don't know what all the fuss was about from other reviewers. I say maybe a very slight brightening, but not as much as I hoped for

I came across this product in Boston,MA and I brought it out of curiosity thinking it was just another whitening product that was inexpensive that "kinda" works, but boy! was I pleasantly suprised and so glad to be wrong. This product is amazing, but be careful to not put it directly on your clothes or laundry it will discolor like clorox..I found that out on some colored towels. I have been trying to find this product in a a store in NC and I have been looking for it every since....I am so glad I found it on Amazon. I reccommend this product with total confidence! and you will never want to use anything else once you try it too.

I had found this product once and could never find it again, ordered it thru Amazon, was thrilled to find it. It is the best proponent for whitening clothes I have ever found and I have tried a few whitening products. Once I tried this item, I was never satisfied with any other. I highly recommend it to anyone with water that causes dingy white to clothes, it WORKS!

The listing states you will receive a 30 oz container of White Brite Rust Remover. In fact it is only a 14 oz. container.

We have extremely mineral-rich well water. Our sinks, toilet and shower all show rusty deposits only a few days after cleaning. Needless to say this is a problem for white laundry like sheets, underwear, T-shirts, and karate uniforms. I discovered White Brite years ago, when it was still called Yellow Out. Since then, I've used it religiously for all my white laundry. I hate to sound like a commercial--I have no connection to the company that makes this product--but it's truly amazing! They stopped carrying it in my local supermarket, so I'm delighted to find it here on Amazon.

According to the manufacturer, Summit Brands, Fort Wayne, IN - this product was formerly known as yellow out. According to their website it is safe for not only white but also color fast clothing. This summer they were working on our water system, unbeknownst to me. I washed a white load (some of the clothing had colored trim). My clothes came out orange. This included underwear, socks, tennis outfits, white blouses. I freaked out! I washed the clothes again and included Shout with the laundry detergent - still orange! I found a sample packet of Yellow Out in our laundry room (now called White Brite) and soaked the clothes in a bucket with hot water. Within seconds the orange was gone. I dumped the entire bucket into the washer with more detergent and ran the load. This product saved my day!

Paid too much and it was my own fault. I was sure I would get a better deal at AMAZON, WRONG! The little local store sells WHITE BRITE 1 pound 6 oz for 3.69. I bought WHITE BRITE 30 ounces on AMAZON for 9.87 before I found it at the corner store. Do the math...on AMAZON it was double the price per ounce for a LARGER bottle. I found the WHITE BRITE at the little neighborhood store after I ordered from here. From now on...I'll put less faith in AMAZON and more into LOCAL SHOPPING! BUT THIS IS A GOOD PRODUCT...ya just have to make sure you're getting the most for your money.
