This review is from: SystemTech XP (CD-ROM)
The System Tech Xp software is a total trash. I am not sure who wrote the previous review? The software does not work. After reaching technical support I was told to download a new version. That new version was frozen and it never worked except for defragmentation of the hard disk, which can be done for free from Accessories ---> System tools. Companies like that should not exist. I send them since four e-mails and no response.

Appears to work well so far. A fair selection of utilities.,

An interesting "suite" of utilities.
5 Sections: -optimization -maintenance -clean & repair -security -other tools Utilities include: -drive defragger -web accelerator -free RAM (frees up memory usage) -Lockout (encrypt files and folder with RC4) -wipe (gov level file wiping) -evidence eraser -system restore -system spy (what is gonig on with your pc when you aren't using it) -virtual desktops (up to 1,000) -file slicer -system startup (what loads atstartup. Let's you tweak those items) I got the retail box at Officemax for $10.00 on a clearance table. The value was good for what I received. SIDENOTE: for defragging, I recommend O&O defrag or Raxco perfectdisk. They are both high-end** defraggers. There is a WORLD of difference in defragger utilities. Windows built-in is a JOKE compared to O&O or Perfectdisk. Diskkeeper is a middle-of-the-road defragger. Better than norton or windows, but not in the same league as O&O or Raxco. O&O has a demo at oosoftware.com and perfectdisk is at raxco.com Both companies give a 30 day FULLY WORKING demo defragger. Sidenote2: if your pc "hangs" at shutdown, try a good defragger**. If your pc drive has not had "any maintenance" done to it in years and/or it's hard drive light flickers all the time;like a disco strobelight, try a good defragger**. Just my 02 cents on the topic.

Two programs, 5 user license, great deal for $20!,

What more could you want for $20? Comes with both XP and Vista versions of the program, can be installed on 5 computers, has a much better defrag program than what comes with Windows, and runs various system maintenance to keep your system clean and running fast.
Compare to spending $50 on Norton Utilities which no longer supports XP in the current version, and won't let you install on 5 computers, they both do the same thing, this is a bargain.
