So I purchased my copy of Logo Creator 2.0 at the local office retailer. My curiosity was that a logo creation software could put me out of business as a graphic designer. I shelled out the $15. The program crashed over, and over again. I thought, "oh, good. I'm safe".

So I contacted the makers (Summitsoft) and told them I wasn't happy. They quickly emailed me back and told me I should download the latest version for free, which was version 3.6.

It works, and now I can honestly say, dollar for dollar this is the very best value I have ever received from software. I own Adobe/Macromedia design products such as Illustrator, Freehand, Fireworks, and Photoshop. They provide the highest degree of control and freedom for profession work. But LogoCreator can do basic image, text, object minipulation quickly, and easily. It exports files in a variety of common file formats. (Earlier versions didn't export files in EPS). It really excels as a web navigation tools editor.

I recently purchased a version for my Mac. It is even more stable, and has more features.

Will I lose clients to this product? Probably not, on account that LogoCreator doesn't have drawing tools. And, most people I work for want me to create something fresh and multi purpose, which means it can be used for both web and print media. But for the person who cannot afford a professional designer and is willing to do the learning curve, this product is very, very good.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! 3 Stars only, because the user interface takes a while to figure out and the preview box seems always to be in the way.

1.0 out of 5 stars This must be free, November 23, 2004

I bought this item for a personal business, believing I could create a simple but professional logo. Forget about it. Just a few templates, circles and brushes. On the net I found better tools for free!. They have an expansion set, but after my experience I tend to believe it will not work. The company must care about its client, and sell a pack consisting of the Logo Creator, the expansion pack, the font pack and else.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's not Illustrator, but it's not bad, February 11, 2005
This review is from: Logo Creator (CD-ROM)
I can see how someone could get easily frustrated with this software at first. It takes a little getting used to. But after that, it's really not that bad. For those consumers who didn't spend thousands of dollars attending a graphic design school, "Logo Creator" is a useful tool.

There are several templates to choose from, and, despite testimony to the contrary, you can do a lot with them because every element within the template is adjustable; and I mean REALLY adjustable. You can make any item bigger or smaller, take on a metalic luster, or rotate/flip it all together.

If templates aren't your think, you can do a lot with the Orbs, swooshes, and plentiful fonts selections (if you have even something resembling an imagination). I am disappointed that you cannot export the final projucts in EPS. But it does offer JPEG, TIFF, and GIFF, so all is not lost. I looked briefly at the expantion pack, but don't see too much more in it that you can't afford to do without. Overall it's not a bad deal for under $30.

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT user friendly at all!!, April 3, 2009
This review is from: Logo Creator (CD-ROM)
Unless you are computer literate as most people are, you will have a terrible time with thing. I couldn't get past the first templates page. VERY frustrating for the novice, but who else is going to purchase it? Professional people use their Corell software to design logos, not everyman. Reselling on Amazon CHEAP.
