5.0 out of 5 stars Transcendent
This is a transcendent game, full of creative stories and scenes. The characters and weapons are illustrated to perfection. Any D&D freak would love this game. Even non-D&D freaks are obsessed with it. The Mac version is alot more high quality than the others. Naturally. You are able to rotate 360 degrees, and zoom in and out. 3.0 out of 5 stars Cool scenery
This game has great scenery.

The action play is good, but repetative.

The strategy play is slow and not so satisfying.

I enjoyed it once through but havn't returned to play it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't listen to a few naysayers, January 30, 2002

When I first saw this game, I thought that it would be boring. Heck, I don't even really like the RPG genre. However, I picked it up and supprisingly, I'm addicted! I got it just over two weeks ago, and I'm still playing it. The graphics are excellent. Also, the storyline is a plot worthy of a movie. If you have any doubts about this game, put them aside and buy it.

I Purchased this game with high hopes but was bitterly disapointed. The game play was quite ok but the repetitive running from one place to another bugged me a bit... I was also astonished by the poor quality of graphics (apart from couple of flashy special effects). Some of the reviews led me to expect quite the opposite... I wouldn't have bought this, had I had better knowledge of the game. I've played better games than this

5.0 out of 5 stars Good game, but the AI can be frustrating, January 30, 2006
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Summoner (Mac) (CD-ROM)
This is a great game, I have spent a great deal of time and it just keeps getting better. Much of the game has challenge to it, but doesn't require you to spend an hour for each puzzle. The only unfortunate part is that the AI for your characters can make them do odd things that you don't want them to do and controlling them will take up time. However this does get better with time as you get used to it.

Truly one of the greatest RPGs you can buy by for the Mac. This game has incredible graphics, and a pro soundtrack to match it. With a great story, awesome character art, and an interface easy to manage you can't go wrong with this title! I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth It!, June 20, 2002
By A Customer

Graphics were great, especially in combat mode. The characters actually "fight," they parry, poke, strike, cut, etc. The plot was a bit standard, but the spell effects and visuals more than made up for the plot.

This is a great game and worth every penny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Story, But Lousy Game Play., April 14, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Summoner (Mac) (CD-ROM)
I bought this game in hopes of purchising an exiting and happy game. However the music is creapy and dark, and half of the time you'r running through a dark dungeon trying to stab the guts through odd looking pirate people. Plus the graphics are pittyful. Their mouths barely move when they speak, and on top of that the combat mode is extremely boring, all you have to do is repeativly click the mouse until the enemy drops dead. But so far I'm not very far into the game so who knows, things might get better.

I've tried this game, because I bought it the moment it came out and it rocks! I've never had such a radical game! The graphics are amazing as well! So is the sound! Buy it!

Having actually seen the game unlike the other reviewers, this game seems to have great graphics. It's similar to modern RPG's like Diablo 2 and Everquest, but not as crackfiendish. Good Stuff
