Really Good Folky Singer Songwriter,

I discovered this on an "if you like (Fill in the blank), you'd like (New Artist) list. I don't remember the "fill in blank" but it could have been Brett Dennen as their voices are so similar it's striking. He's also very much like Joe Purdy, who I love, and a little like Joshua Radin's latest only not quite that mellow and quiet. He's got an pain in his voice and an interesting range of subject matter. "Today" and "New Love Song" are probably the most commercial and have great catchy hooks, the former reminds me alittle of Van Morrison's "Bright Side of the Road". I also like "Soul and the Sea", "Geese" and "Lord, Devil and Him", but there really isn't a bad song on this disc.
