This review is from: Sun Certification Training Guide: (CS-310-025 & CX-310-027): Java 2 Programmer and Developer Exams (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
1) This book is outdated. 310-25 is an old exam. You are better off passing the new one - 310-035.

2) The book contains some serious errors. For example, here is an excerpt from the page 146:

"Polymorphism ... in object oriented programming, refers to the capability of objects to have many methods of the same name, but different types of arguments. The print() and println() methods of the PrintStream class are excellent examples of polymorphism".

This definition of polymorphism is just plain WRONG.

3) I cannot say anything about the second part related to the 310-027 exam.

4) A good book to buy to prepare for the 310-035 exam:

Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exams 310-035 & 310-027) by Kathy Sierra (she is a co-developer of the SCJP 1.4 exam 310-035) and Bert Bates.
