Book proved to be an excellent resource. Pictures were black and white throughout the book, but very clear. Descriptions were concise and detailed.

I have owned this book for about 40 years. I have read it through and through a number of times. Many black and white pictures of artifacts as well as drawings, maps, etc. If you have any interest in the Southeastern Indians, this is not just a recommendation but a requirement.

I got this book because it was recommended to me during a Native American pottery class I took as a good resource for history and designs of the eastern Woodland tribes. It is very helpful in that regard.
