5.0 out of 5 stars Each Day, A Reminder.
I'm not too hip to the hype surrounding this band and frankly, I don't care. They destroy. Their songs are fast, their lyrics are well-written and if people like them, so be it.

What you need to know is that American Nightmare play fast and furious hardcore. Not emo-core, rap-core, metal-core or any of that claptrap. 5 songs in about 7 minutes including a Cro-Mags...

3.0 out of 5 stars Best band in hardcore? nope
American Nightmare are damn good in they're own right. I just dont get why everyone jocks this band SO much! Sure they play a more aggressive style of youth crew, and the lyrics aren't your cliched "posi edge" type lyrics but musically I don't really find it much different than other bands of this style. I give credit where credit is due, and this band is good,...

For an 8-minute EP this is a good 8 minutes. Heartfelt hardcore with poetic lyrics. Two of the songs they re-recorded and re-produced and added them to their debut full-length so go buy that one too!

After you get this, go look for records by The Trouble. That's what I'm doing.

After their debut EP I didn't think AN could get any better, guess again, this new EP is just as good if not better. Sing alongs, pile ons, screaming, singing, breakdowns, AN is the best hardcore band out there, get this and see why.

Wow. I didn't know what to expect when I put this cd in, because I had never heard American Nightmare before. But after the first song and hearing the chaos that is American Nightmare, I fell in love. Although only five songs, this is hardcore at its finest. I can only imagine what their live show is like.
