Shipping time was extremely fast. The hat is feather light and comfortable. The gel crystals work great. Experiment with soaking times, if you soak the hat too long it might not fit right. This is truely a great hat.

really does as described..and I liked the look when it's wet and a bit floppier than the dry version. My son loved his too! Wore them on our trip to Disneyworld in the late summer. You folks should market them to the Disney people-- they go hand in hand with the spray bottle fans!!

I bought this hat to keep me comfortable while walking around Disney World and it did the job. Heat index was 106 degrees. Very fast shipping and great customer service.

It was a great hat, I loved it but then I washed it and it shunk. Now it no longer fits my head.

I live in South Florida so a hat like this originally was great for yardwork. When it's wet it tends to look a litle more floppy (o.k. and also a bit stupid) than shown in the picture. Those crystals surely do keep you cool but they also destroy the hat over time. This is a one year (or less)hat if you use it often. Little pin holes will appear around the gel area. They will get bigger and the crystals will ooze out. The eyelets will start to rust and discolor the material of the hat. Worse yet, the hat will get moldy and black around the gel area. This happens because those crystals can stay damp for a day or so. Mold is inevitable. Mine was beige like in the picture. Today it goes in the garbage. I bought a Dr. Shade Outback hat at the same time I bought this mold maker and that hat looks like the day I bought it. I used it just as much as the other. It doesn't have the crystals and I don't get it wet but it's a great hot weather hat.

This hat looks like a good idea, but I haven't been able to get my husband to try it out, and now summer is over. But I followed the instructions, washed the hat, massaged the gel beads in the band so they were spread out evenly, and saved the instructions for next summer. If he doesn't wear it, I will.
