5.0 out of 5 stars really good album, December 2, 2005
This review is from: Sun Q (Audio CD)
The first time I heard IQU I was at a concert for another band but the second they came on stage I was intrigued. The whole hour long set was fantastic and I bought the cd that night at the merchandise table. I left the venue and immediately put it in my car cd player anticipating the creative sound I would hear from the same band I saw on stage just hours before. I was definately pleased by what I heard. I was a little suprised to hear voices because at the show they didn't sing but it was still fantastic. They are truly unique using moog instruments and a keyboard. They are great for dancing to in your car, listening to as you do your homework, or cleaning the house. I recommend everyone to at least give this fantastic band a listen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost a classic - a Japanese-sounding electronica album fans of the genre should love - cheesy at times, though - 4.5 stars, January 5, 2006
This review is from: Sun Q (Audio CD)
IQU's "Sun Q" is a good electronica album which definitely delivers some catchy and fun tunes. Practically every song, except for perhaps "Hamachi", is incredibly entertaining and also very interesting to listen to (they're relatively complex). They use some interesting electronic noises in many of the songs. The girl singer sounds very Japanese and relatively young (though that seems to be a common way of speaking in Japan). The production here is crystal clear, too! Parts of it seem to be a guilty pleasure (parts of "Sun Q" and "The 9th Line", for example), and some of the songs are a little questionable ("Dirty Boy" is one), but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Electronica fans will probably love this CD. Highly recommended!

Highlights include:
everything except "Hamachi"
