I ordered this as a summer vacation get away CD and I love it!! Just a bunch of great songs by the original artists and you just can't go wrong! I highly recommend this to anyone who likes feel-good music to get you in the mood for a stress free vacation.

Absolutely delightful music. Makes you want to live in the islands. The original cd I had developed a couple of bad tracks, upon checking a variety of music stores to replace it was told to my dismay they couldn't get it. One staple cd's I take on the boat whether I'm fishing or just plain crusin.

Except for the overplayed and over-rated Don't Worry Be Happy-which was entertaining maybe the first 10-15 times I'd heard it years ago, this is a fun collection of summertime party music. Whether stretched out in your yard, on the porch or on the beach, this is a really good collection of tunes. For more fun, get Sun Splashin' vol.2. Wish there was a volume 3. Anyway, despite that one song, this comes highly recommended.

This album is one of the best collections, of feel good novelty hits and summertime blues chasers ever put together on one CD! If only they had added Maragaritaville by Jimmy Buffett and Red Red Wine by UB40!!! This is the album to take you back to that great cruise or island vacation you enjoyed. Yes you too can feel the beat of the waves under a full carribean moon, the palm trees waving in the tradewinds as you sip a pina colada and wriggle your toes in white beach sands as you listen to these irrisistable tunes! You need this CD to escape the winter blahs and put a smile on your face!!

Someone turned me on to this CD and told me "this music will make you feel good". I do feel good when listening to this music! It is a collection of tunes culled from the 60's through the 90's of fun summer music from the beach scene. Beginning with "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys to "Macrena" by DMS in between are goodies that you may or may not like, but in this collection they are in their element and they please, they soothe and you feel good! You feel the tension leave your body and you just want to smile, dance and suddenly it's a great day! Trust me, I'm not thrilled with some of the tunes by themselves but in this collection they make a wonderful contribution so don't let a song influence you to reject this collection of music because it is unfamiliar or you don't care for it. That is the power of music! Enjoy your life because it is too short not to.

Did I mention this is my second copy? After tiring of searching for the original this one was purchased from Amazon and I couldn't wait to get it! For anyone who gets blue on rainy days and modern stress this will chase those blues away; it is instant vacation with friends, family, sun and surf but no sand. What's not to like? Another mojito please . . .

This is the best collection of good time music I've ever seen. Every song is a gem! Pop it in, close your eyes and you're off to the Caribbean. It's a pick-me-up for the everyday oh hums.

Perfect CD for summer road trips, backyard summer BBQs or just to lighten up a grey winter day. Contains classic novelty songs that seem quite fresh again after all these years. Keep Splashin'!

Both of the Sun Splashin CD's are great...they were originally release in the mid to late 80's under the title 'Sun Jammin'. The Sun Splashin CD has made a few additions/subtractions from the original Sun Jammin' series, like adding the 'Macarena' and removing 'Pass the Dutchie' and 'Red, Red Wine'. There were 3 CD's released as Sun Jammin' so I don't think you'll have to wait long for Sun Splashin' Part 3 (although it was my least favourite of the 3). Overall everyone should own a copy of 'Sun Splashin'. Can't afford a tropical vacation, just press play and drift away....
