Sunbutter even tastes better than peanut butter.

Fond of the taste, which remains strong and distinct despite the superfluous filler ingredients. If it was a little more unadulterated, I'd consider it over/against peanut butter (though Sunbutter ain't cheap). Given the fact that I have the choice of PB or this, that may be the only reason why I didn't give this a 5, as it's all relative. I prefer the "'Natural' Crunch" regardless.

Evaporated Cane Syrup = unneeded sugar
Palm oil 'to prevent separation' = 'no-stir'
Natural Mixed Tocopherols = preservative

When I found out my son had a peanut allergy I thought, hmm, but I love peanut butter so much. First we tried Almond Butter. It was ok, but nothing like peanut butter. It was thick and gritty and tasted ok. Then one day I saw SunButter. I though, sunflower seed butter, are they kidding? But I had to try it anyways. I tried it right away once home. WOW! This stuff smells good, tastes good, is creamy like peanut butter. I actually like it MORE than peanut butter. I've not only dipped apples and used it on bread, but also baked with it as a peanut butter replacement. Sooooo tasty. I first bought the kind you have to stir, but am loving this non stir kind so much more! It bakes like peanut butter, it's creamy like peanut butter, it's tastier than peanut butter. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. I just wish it was priced like peanut butter. They want $6.99 a jar at Albertson's so I was very happy to find it here on Amazon.

We have been using Sunbutter for years and have been so happy and thankful! This is a healthy alternative to peanut butter for people with peanut/nut allergies and those who love them. We are so thankful that our boys now have an option for lunches. As a peanut butter lover, I can honestly say that the look, texture, smell, and taste are so close to peanut butter you might not even be able to tell the difference. We have tried other brands of sunflower butter and Sunbutter has by far been the best. It is a great product!

I have a son with peanut allergies who is now a teenager. Sunbutter was such a blessing when he was younger...he was able to feel more normal, as it is so much like peanut butter. Tastes great, and can be used as a substitute in recipes for peanut butter. The Sunbutter folks even have recipes on their website...we always have it in the house as even though my husband and I are not allergic we never have peanut butter in our house. We all eat Sunbutter and love it. It's good for you!!!
And it can make a kid that's allergic to peanuts very HAPPY!!!!!

It is so hard to find peanut friendly alternatives to peanut butter, I have found that most almond butters are produced in a plant that manufacturers peanuts. Besides that, I didn't like the taste of almond butter.

Sunbutter tastes fantastic, I think I like it even better than peanut butter and my daughter loves it! She is severely allergic to peanuts and it is so nice to have an alternative for her. Her preschool uses sunbutter on field trips and outings as well! Kids love it!!! I love it!!!

My sons allergies to peanuts forced us to search for a peanut butter substitute several years ago. We tried many products (soy ect. and some sunflower seeds ones as well). Sunbutter was the only way to go!!!! After several years now I proud to say we are peanut free (which is pretty bad for you by the way) and are a Sunbutter only home. Thank you Sunbutter. You rock!!

Okay, like most reviewers here I tried this as an alternative to peanut butter due to a Loved One's peanut allergy. Both of us really like sunflower butter and Sun Butter is one of the better brands we have tried, and one of the lower-priced brands when bought in bulk. But don't wait for someone to develop a peanut allergy before trying this... It's really that good.

We have tried SunButter Natural, as well as this no stir variety, and liked them both equally. The consistency is a bit runnier than peanut butter, but storing it in the refrigerator thickens it up a bit.

As for the flavor, it tastes like... well... sunflower seeds. If you don't like sunflower seeds you won't like this. But the flavor is also somewhat reminiscent of peanut butter, as is the mouthfeel. Both Mrs. Boilermate and I really like the flavor of this. One of my "guilty pleasures" is a toasted English muffin with butter and peanut butter. SunButter is a perfect substitute for peanut butter. It really goes well on celery, and it makes a fine Fluffernutter as well.

Bottom line
SunButter Natural is good enough to stand on its own, and not just an "alternative to something better." If someone you know suffers from a peanut allergy I highly recommend this as an alternative to peanut butter, but I also highly recommend it to everybody else as a tasty reasonably priced nut butter.

SunButter natural no-stir creamy is great. My children both have nut allergies. I feel very fortunate to have a peanut butter replacement to make sandwiches for them. And, the no-stir means the top isn't greasy when you open it.
