The product summary refers to a "detailed tutorial ... and source code" but they weren't included in the box, and we couldn't find a webpage for the company.

It's a nice kit of sensors easily interfaced to Arduino. At $2 per sensor, with a wide range of sensors....its a lot of fun to familiarize yourself with sensors, and Arduino interfacing.

So for those who are contemplating purchasing this kit.....caveat emptor...no hookup instructions....but Arduino code is downloadable.
It is easier if you have some background in electronics. So, I take away one star for this.

This is my recommendation: Look at the picture on this web page in the description of this product to identify the associated sensor name to determine what sensor is what. Google a web search "Keyes" followed by sensor's module name. You might be able find a power and ground hookup using this web search. For instance the IR receive sensor is ky-022. 5V is the center pin, the pin marked "s" is the sensor output, and gnd is pin 1. In general, the sensor output is labelled "S".

Open the associated sketch downloaded from the box website as given on this webpage. From the sketch pin allocation, you can determine which pin of the arduino is tied to which pin of the sensor. If you cannot find a "schematic" from the previous web search, you may need careful consideration which pin is power and ground.

The product(s) appear to be of good quality. They come crammed into a small plastic box and is very tricky to place everything back inside packaging for storage. The reason I gave this review three and not five stars is because there are no basic pictorial representation of each device. I am an Intermediate electronics builder and some of these components are confusing as to what it is designed to do. For instance, a few of the components look very similar in capability due to components mounted and short of trial and error there is no way to really know if I chose the right device. There is also a couple items I have no clue about. I feel a simple picture representation with purpose statement would help a lot.

I purchased this and was somewhat concerned that the sensors would be exceptionally cheap and thus far even though I haven't gotten around to testing them all just yet, the ones I have used work great. One downside of this kit is that it doesn't come with any documentation, not even a single print-off detailing links to datasheets. They can be located, just not as convenient as I expected when purchasing a kit with so many sensors. Aside from the lack of information sources so far these sensors seem to be overall decent quality.

Look at all these shields!!! Laying them out on my desk for organization was great. I'm learning to use arduino and these are helping. You can do all sorts of little experiments with them, sometimes with multiple ones at a time. There's an initial period of matching all the shields to their picture and description but it was all there in the end, get yourself a parts-box or organizer though, so you don't have to play the matching game every time. Great overall gadget pack, get it and you won't need another shield for a long time.

The product summary refers to a "detailed tutorial ... and source code" but they weren't included in the box, and we couldn't find a webpage for the company. We eventually found the documentation linked at the bottom of the detailed product description on Amazon. We downloaded it, only to find that it is beyond unreadable. The first sentence is:

"I believe if we come into contact with this amazing Arduino then the DS18B20 digital thermometerChips [sic] are generally not Stranger [sic} to it, right!" It gets even more incomprehensible from there. As an added bonus, the source code has random characters interspersed throughout.

I bought this item because it was a large set of sensors to add to my son's basic Arduino kit. The sensors came with just a small booklet that lists the sensors by name - nothing else. The sensors are not labeled nor is there ANY description of how the sensor operates. Hidden in the middle of the Amazon description (not with the package itself) is a link to a website where you can download a product manual of sorts. However, this manual was written by someone with very poor English and really does not describe the operation of the sensors. So I am left with 37 sensors and no description of their intended input/output response.

So although I had high hopes for this extensive set of sensors, I'm extremely disappointed. I'll likely spend one or two more days trying to figure them out then send the product back to the seller.

All the sensors come packaged in a nice plastic container. I haven't had a chance yet to use/test them all but the sensors I have used have all worked as intended. Biggest downfall is the lack of documentation. It comes with a picture sheet so you can match sensor to picture/name. The documentation that you can download off line is lacking in organization and clarity. Instead of including information about the inputs/outputs of the sensors they just have a huge pdf that gives rough sketches of how to use them in an arduino setting but no info on wiring. Also in the zip file you can download they include sketches but its the same sketch in every folder, which is useless. It's easy to figure out most of the sensors but it would be nice to just have the info instead of having to figure it out.
