Overall, I think this is a great little mixer. I had mine for about 2 years & it worked great till my husband used it on a particular batch of peanut butter cookies (which he HAD made before with no problem). Alas, the mixer couldn't hang & burned up. I've used it to make cookies, cakes, and other delectables without a problem. I'd recommend this, but don't feel it's powerful enough for heavy doughs or batters.

I had mine for more than 5 years. I bake a lot of cookies, especially at the holidays. I also used it for mashed potatoes and other mixing jobs. It handled everything pretty reliably, even double batches of cookie dough.

The glass bowl is heavy and very nice. The beaters eventually got little rust spots on them (I live where the water is very salty). The spinning rotating cuff for the bowl went lopsided after about 4 years. And finally, one beater stopped being twirled about by the motor.

But I definitely got my money's worth from this mixer (and I'm back for another).
