The problem is really about as simple as it gets: you need moisture in the air of a room that has too little of it.

This product fixes the problem. It does so quietly, efficiently, and not unattractively.

The self-dry feature is extra handy. I buy a cartridge that I drop in the tank to purify things in there. These cartridges, widely available in pharmacies, last for a month.

This is a solid product that does what it claims.

We have had this Sunbeam humidifier for over a month now and use it in our 1 year old daughter's room. It is fairly quiet . . . especially on the lower fan setting which still seems to humidify the room well. The humidistat is definitely a plus . . . we don't worry about remembering to go in the room and turn it off. Also, the wick drying feature works well. We are still on the original wick . . . our old Kaz humidifier would have gone through at least 2 wicks by now.

I have had this humidifier for one month and it works great. The auto dry feature makes it easy to flip a dry filter everyday. Easy to clean and maintain. I can recommend this one!

I bought sunbeam Model 1118 on wallgreen store last week. It was on sale for 50% off. First I thought to buy humidifier with permawick filter so that I don't have to spend extra money for changing the filter. Since it was a great deal, I pull the trigger to buy this. I read some other brand doesn't work very well, left water stain on your room,dust, your floor will become wet, etc. After using this, I felt great. no wet on my carpet, pretty quiet fan, and I felt the air I breath more fresh than before. This machine have 2 fan speeds. Replacement filter only $10. If you take a good care, you may get longer filter life span. I used only filter water to get rid of the mineral as suggested by the manufacturer. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

I used my humidifer for one month,got it out and filled.nothing happened.all controls light up,so i know there is power to the unit.I cleaned it good before storing it last year.i have given up on sunbeam humidifers.Ibuy a new one every year.i always use bottled water.I feel it is a waste of money to buy any more of them.

I recently bought this humidifier to replace another one I had and I love it!! The humidistat is a great feature and I love the quick-dry as well. It is very quiet and easy to clean. I was thrilled to find a humidifier with all the features I wanted for much less than the price of the others I had seen.

My husband bought this humidifier at a local grocery store. At first, I could not believe he bought such an expensive humidifier. After using it, I loved it. It has a "drying out" stage after using it. It air dries the filter. This prevents mildew from growing on it. The tank is big enough to hold water for several nights. It is also very quiet. I bought my sons a different humidifier and had to give them this one, because the other was so nosiy, it woke them up at night. I love this one!!

Product was received undamage and was easy to unpackage. Setup and initial operation was easy. Water tank hold sufficient water to humidify my 20' x 20' room for 12+ hours even on the driest day. Humidy control and wick drying feature work well. Price was equal to lowest of other suppliers.

I bought this humidifier and thought it was pretty good, although the wick filter was gross and turned brown and stinky then eventually fell apart. Unless you intend on replacing the filters monthly don't be fooled by the auto dry feature, it doesn't work. After 4 months I was going to clean it and couldn't get into the fan to clean out the built up dust. Well apparently you can't. I called Sunbeam and they said they would replace it (with another useless machine that you can't clean) but they won't refund me my money back and that the warranty doesn't cover dust. It's not broken it's just dirty. I have 3 kids with asthma and running a dusty humidifier isn't helpful. So now I have a dirty humidifier that I can't clean and can't use, and I need to go out and spend more money on a new one. NEVER BUY a SUNBEAM (they said all their humidifiers are the same and none can be cleaned properly)
