I bought two of these humidifiers for my daughters' rooms, which are fairly small. I liked the size of this model as well as the fact that it didn't have a filter that would need replacing. I returned both of them soon after receiving them. They blew a mist of water about six inches straight up, which proceeded to fall back down, drenching the humidifier as well as whatever surface I put it on. It was not effective at increasing the humidity in the room at all. Plus, on the lowest setting it only lasted for about 6-7 hours. I wouldn't recommend this humidifier to anybody.

1. it doesnt last up to 10 hours...on the low setting, it lasts up to 7 hrs at the most. which is highly dissappointing.

2. Since this is my 1st humidifier ever, i dont have a basis of comparison for how well it works though. However, when i woke up this morning, my nose didnt hurt half as bad from being dried out.

i purchased this for my small dorm room, set it right next to my bed and there was no change in humidity. you have to stick your face on top of the mist to even notice a difference. it lasted 6 hours at most, it woun't even last a whole night.

I have a severe dry eye problem and i found in internet that a humidifier may help.
I bought big one for home and personal for work.
It's been 2 days and it's working fine.

Great compact desk top cool air humidifier. I needed something that would fit next to my bed and on my desk top at work. It works perfect!

This humidifier works very well. However, I don't recommend using anything other than distilled water in the unit, as the performance and longevity of the unit will be compromised if you use tap water. The manufacturer supplies the humidifier with a small brush to remove mineral deposits from the metal nebulizer plate, but in my experience, (having owned an older model) once the minerals are stuck to the plate it is pretty much impossible to remove them effectively. I'm only using distilled water in the new model - 1 month of nightly use and it still looks like new.

Pros: The old model gave me many years of reliable service; I expect the new one to perform at least as well. It's quiet on the low setting and hardly takes up any room. The tank usually lasts through the night (on the low setting) and is easy to fill and clean. I love that blue night light!

Cons: The fan on the old model began rattling after a few years, especially when set to 'high' (not a problem when left on the 'low' setting which is perfectly adequate for the size of my room). Occasionally, I have a little difficulty attaching the tank to the base. When the tank is empty, the fan will continue to turn (no auto shut-off).

10 hours of operation on 1 tank? - I don't think so... but if I fill up the tank and turn it on right before I go to sleep, and then shut it off when I wake up, it works very well for me. I highly recommend this ultrasonic humidifier.

I have a lot of trouble with dry air in hotels when I travel, especially during the winter in the mountains. This is a good humidifier that easily fits into a carry on bag.

The biggest problem I had with it is that it doesn't quite last a night's sleep. So what I did was right after checking in, I would turn on the humidifier on HIGH. Go out, eat dinner, etc. Then just before going to sleep, I would refill it and set it on LOW. Even though it would run out, the humidity would be at a comfortable level. So I can sleep restfully.

Notes: it does get the area around it wet, so you may want to set it on a towel (plenty of extra's in hotels). And depending on the water quality, it can leave mineral-like deposits. So you may need to clean it after each use (or maybe use filtered water).

This one is too small for a bedroom, just like a toy. I returned this one and reordered Sunbeam 701-000 Ultrasonic Humidifier, which is much bigger. Generally speaking, the ultrasonic humidifier is much quieter than the regular ones.

This humidifier has been great for individual use---planning to purchase one for each child in college. The blue light was a bit bright so i put a piece of electrical tape over it to tone it down but it is still visible incase i need to change the mist control at night. The water reservoir is sometimes difficult to grip well enough to get off but that is minor. It seems to be the perfect size and output for a night stand but may not do so well if across the room. I like having a humidifier that is not large and heavy and no filters necessary. If placed on the lowest setting it easily lasts the night , I usually put it on the high setting and though it runs out before morning it seems to do its job well enough that that doesn't matter.

I agree with all the bad reviews. It lasts about 6 hours, is noisy and shoots a short stream of humidity straight up. We have to get up in the night to refill, and its hard to pull the resevoir off the base. We bought 2 and are returning them.
