This is the best electric blanket I have ever used. It heats up quickly and each number on the control really does have a distinct degree of heat. Moreover the fabric is soft and lovely to the touch. Although the cost is higher than a number of other king-size blankets, this is a case of you get what you pay for. It is well worth every penny.

I purchased the Queen blanket based on previous reviews and am happy I did even though it seems a little spendy.
It is so soft and luxurious. The color sample for the Honey does not come close or do justice to the actual color. It is the stunning color of dark golden honey. The dual controls are easy to see and allow for individual comfort zones. The preheat is a nice feature.I toss the blanket over the pillows to pre-warm them along with the rest of the bed. This blanket enables us to turn the furnace temp down at night and still stay warm and cozy. We can use the electical power stored in our solar battery bank instead of burning up $$$ of propane.

This review is from: Sunbeam Camelot Retreat RoyalMink Twin Heated Blanket, Winter White (Kitchen)
I ordered this blanket. It came from an outside source and not Amazon. The name on the packaging was not the same name as the blanket I ordered.
It sure doesnt look like a 90 dollar twin size blanket. It's soft. . .but it's very thin and you can feel the wires inside through it. it had a totaly different name and not Sunbeam Camelot REtreat on it. I work for a surgeons office and we have many different electric blankets, I was hoping to buy a good one. A nice fluffy, thick one like we have at the office. This is very thin. It warms up fine, but it's not what I expected and since it had a different packaging and name, I do not trust that I recieved what I ordered. It looks nothing like a "royal Mink" I did not send it back, because it came from Canada and I didn't want to lose money paying for return shipping. Just kept it, and learned a lesson. Buy electric blankets in person.

I've been through 3 different electric blankets now. This one is by far the best! The blanket is very soft, and though it has the typical wiring, there are no large lumps like with some blankets. The photo is a bit misleading. I ordered a full size which came with one controller which is digital and has a backlight. The backlight is dim enough to not interfere with sleeping...it brightens when you hit a button. The pre-heat function is awesome and the temperature goes from just warm enough to know it's on to "OK that's pretty hot"! Highly recommend!

Sunbeam Royal Mink Electric Blanket,

This review is from: Sunbeam Camelot Retreat RoyalMink King Heated Blanket, Winter White (Kitchen)
I have owned several electric blankets. Compared to those others and still more that I shopped before buying, this is not an inexpensive electric blanket, but maybe it is like that axiom "buy the best and you will only cry once." We all know that just because something is expensive does not mean it is quality. I was leery of this brand because of Sunbeam's financial woes and my perception they have quality control problems. This is a very comfortable blanket by itself. The heating seems very even and what we are hoping for is that it will prove to be as durable as it is soft, warm, and comfortable. It also has a "PH" pre-heat feature which is very nice, allowing it to warm up quickly so one does not have to get into a cold bed and then shuts off if it is too warm to really need the electric warming feature of the blanket while sleeping - this blanket is still plenty soft and warm. To sum up, I balked at what this cost initially but after 3 weeks of use, seems to have been money well spent.

Warm in Wine Country,

This is our third king sized top-of-the-line Sunbeam warming blanket in 6 years. The first failed to warm both sides of the bed and was replaced at the 3 year mark by Sunbeam. The second one failed similarly, with the added frequent complication of a flashing display on one control unit that required unplugging the power cord from the wall to reset. There was no warming during this malfunction. I don't know yet if the original Sunbeam warranty will repair or replace this time. The Royalmink does not feel cheap as mentioned by one reviewer, nor does it have wires so small you can barely feel them, as mentioned by another reviewer. The preheat function definitely works better than the last blankets, and is great for getting into a warm bed. A continuing problem with all the Sunbeam products is very stiff electrical cords, which make it impossible to position the controller on the nightstand without additional bracing or taping. Time will tell if the durability of this pricey model makes it worth the extra cost.

This kept me warm last winter. And it's going on winter #2. ....great heating blanket, soft, comfortable, slightly on the heavy side, but oh how cheap! I expected better for the steep price tag.
After just one winter, the blanket is already starting to tear. If you gently tug on the blanket while you are sleeping or making the bed, you'll find that it rips and tears and comes apart. There's small holes in it. I don't know what kind of cheap flimsy material they use, but I have never had a blanket do that!! I guess maybe this thing will probably last another few years and in the trash it will go. I'll have to look for something cheaper to replace it (in which, I'll just get a new one every 3-4 years...or move somewhere warmer).

Purchased a queen and followed up with this full. These are the nicest electric blankets I have ever purchased. They are very soft, have auto off and preheat, the full only has one control but the queen has two. Would buy again and have.

This is perhaps the best heating blanket I have yet to find. The blanket is very soft and the control is the best I have ever used. The connecting cord however is still the same crappy STIFF wiring found on cheaper heating blankets. Had Sunbeam used a more flexible connecting cord I would have given this product five stars.
