This blanket keeps me nice and toasty on the couch during the winter cold in Michigan. It allows me to stay warm on the couch without bumping up the heat and warming the whole house. However, the throw is a bit stiff because of the heating element throughout. Also, it is not the softest. It is my first heated blanket so I don't know if this is customary with this type of blanket. Despite the stiffness, it serves its purpose.

Excellent product, great gift too November 19, 2010

After checking out a ton of other electric blankets, I settled on this one. The price won me over in the purchasing, but the product definitely won me over once I got it. I'm always cold around my house (especially during the night) and don't want to spend a fortune on heat so this was perfect for me. It's comfortable, portable and really adapts perfectly with my body temp -- I'm never too hot or too cold. I use it all the time and recently bought it as a gift for a friend's birthday and she loves it too! It's simple, practical and economical -- easy to use and nice and toasty! I highly recommend it.

First electric blanket and serves its purpose October 19, 2011

Well, this is my first electric blanket and i should have bought a long time ago. Yes the material is a little stiff, and the blanket seems like an odd shape to me (almost a square shape rather than rectangle). When you turn it on, the outside doesn't feel very warm, but it keeps the heat in very well! i think you will be surpised! I would definitely recommend this.
