This timer comes with a battery to install, so you know the battery is not run down. The display is big and easy to see. The buttons are large. The timer can be set in hours (up to 19 hours) and minutes. There is a magnet on the back to attach it to the frig. The alarm is loud and you can readily hear it in a noisy kitchen. My only gripe is that the magnet on the back is a bit small and the timer is raised, so when you press the buttons, the timer moves around on the frig surface. Would buy again.

The good is: is that this unit does calculate multiple hours if you are cooking roasts or just simply want to time something longer than the 60 or 99 minutes that many timers do. The numbers are large.
But while some people may prefer a 5 or 10 minute warning beep; I do not want to have to run into the kitchen or be distracted 10 minutes before I need to; so my complaint is - if you have this feature advertise it, so that those of us that do not want it do not have to have it. Granted it would probably make the unit more expensive, but make that feature one that could be turned off and on. I for one would gladly pay extra for that; so my main complaint here is... tell us what your timers do so we can be happy with them when we receive them -- this gets 2 stars for having extra irritating beeps calling you 10 and 5 minutes before you are needed.

The start/stop button is off to the side. The magnet is in the middle. So when I push the button, the timer rocks off the magnet and falls on the floor. It broke after two days.
