5.0 out of 5 stars A Stylish and Affordable Blanket that Keeps You Warm
This blanket is one of the best ones I have used so far from Sunbeam. Some windows are always open in our house because my family likes fresh air despite the cold weather. We live in the Northeast and have been hit hard by this year's cold winter. However, this blanket has helped out a lot.The top layer is a herringbone pattern which is very stylish and doesn't pill! 1.0 out of 5 stars So thin one needs blanket set to on all night - not Energy efficient!
This product has a loosely woven top fabric affixed to a very thin bottom fabric. It seemed far thinner than all the electric blankets I have had in the past. If, like me, you only turn the blanket on to warm the bed before you get in and then you usually turn the blanket off this isn't the product for you. 5.0 out of 5 stars A Stylish and Affordable Blanket that Keeps You Warm, January 14, 2009
I must admit it does look pretty good laid out like a bed cover. I have tried to avoid buying blankets that pill and get small fuzzies on them after use. So far, I haven't seen any blanket material on clothes I have left on top of the blanket.

The inside part of the blanket is also made from a soft, acrylic material. The wires on this blanket are also not as prominent like other types I have used in the past. You can still feel them, but its just not as bad as some others. The thing that has sold me on the blanket though is the control and the price. The control I received had auto-off and a preheat feature which was very convenient. I recommend this blanket to anyone just trying to stay warm or save some money on heating bills. I will also periodically update this review to tell you how it holds up.

For the money, this is a great value. It has a simple and effective control and is very soft and warm. The auto timer turns it off after 8 hours. My wife uses it only on her side and loves it, we have had 2 others in the past and this is the best one so far, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfy, toasty and not bulky, February 24, 2010

These are very nice electric blankets. I bought two of them, one each for two twin beds. It's been a brutal winter (don't you know!), and the piles of blankets and comforters my kids had piled on top of their beds STILL didn't keep them warm in this drafty house. So I ordered these electric blankets for them. The power cords are long enough to plug into just about any outlet in your particular room I would think. I was able to plug each blanket into two separate outlets in the kids' room and we still had length to spare.

The blankets are very lightweight, and my kids panicked, thinking they were way too flimsy to keep them warm. But they were quickly convinced after the blankets warmed up. The controls are easy to use and easy to read. The blankets are wide too, generously covering the twin beds on each side as well. We are very pleased.

1.0 out of 5 stars So thin one needs blanket set to on all night - not Energy efficient!, September 24, 2010
This review is from: Sunbeam Twin Herringbone Camelot Dreams Heated Electric Warming Blanket, Seashell Off-White
This product has a loosely woven top fabric affixed to a very thin bottom fabric. It seemed far thinner than all the electric blankets I have had in the past. If, like me, you only turn the blanket on to warm the bed before you get in and then you usually turn the blanket off this isn't the product for you. Unless one left the electric blanket on for all 8 hours (not my idea of energy efficiency,} one would need a thick quilt in addition to the warming blanket to stay warm throughout the night.

My main complaint though is that a strong sweet perfume or chemical scent from this blanket made me physically ill. I woke up after sleeping under the blanket with my eyes blood shot and nearly swollen shut, my face flushed and a head ache. I had to wash all my clothing and other bedding and rinse it with vinegar to get the scent out. If anyone else has scent allergies or multiple chemical sensitivity I would not recommend this blanket. It is possible that the loose top fabric weave may hold dust or other fibers from the air at the manufacturing plant.

4.0 out of 5 stars warm blanket, September 17, 2010
This review is from: Sunbeam Twin Herringbone Camelot Dreams Heated Electric Warming Blanket, Seashell Off-White
I've owned this blanket for several years and it still works very well but I have two cats and their claws have, over the years, gotten caught in the herringbone design fabric (I trim my cats claws by the way) so many times that it looks terrible. Too bad as it's a very warm blanket even without the heat turned on. I loved the way it looked when I bought it and for people without cats who like to curl up on their beds with them it would be great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!, October 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sunbeam Twin Herringbone Camelot Dreams Heated Electric Warming Blanket, Seashell Off-White
My wife sleeps with this year round; it keeps her warm enough so her back and neck don't tighten up every night. The cord is very long (15' maybe?) and durable. Adjusts from 1-10 with the tap of a large button (use your foot if its on the floor). Blanket stays on for up to 10 hours if left on. Has been very durable. Wish we bought this years ago.

I wash and dry it in my machines. It works as good as new. I am now buying a twin size for another bed.
