I had imagined a soft throw with heat eminating from it. That's sort of what I got. The material is soft and it is a throw. It also has heating coils within. It isn't a fourth as soft as the electric blanket on my bed. The wiring is stiff and doesn't soften no matter how long you heat it. A miserable excuse for a throw, it might work for someone on a cold winter night when the furnace breaks down. Not useful for much else.

I bought this for my wife because she is diabetic. She is often cold when I'm not and every night the heater goes into setback. So when its colder in the evening she now throws this over her and has the warmth she needs until she wishes to go to bed. She is a night owl, so its always being used.

I purchased this electric throw as a gift for my brother-in-law. He has been thoroughly enjoying it ever since. My sister has finally been able to turn down her home thermostat. Their cat discovered the warmth, too, and now is a permanent fixture on his lap!! He says that it works great and he has had no issues with uneven heating.
