Nice Blanket, Terrible Controls,

While this blanket certainly heats well, the location of the controls right in the middle of the blanket means that you're always fighting the wires and trying to get them out of the way. Also, the slightest bump changes the setting on the controls, so you frequently turn them higher or lower or even on and off without wanting to. I'm surprised that the manufacturer let this very poor design off the factory floor.

Probably the most comfortable blanket I own,

We got this blanket for Christmas and it actually works really, really well. There are three heat settings, plus it turns off after 3 hours so you don't have to worry about burning yourself or getting overly sweaty throughout the night. We actually DID save money on our power bill last winter (January was almost $40 lower than December!). It was pretty amazing. We're actually excited for winter again so we can use it. Very comfortable - and very pretty looking on the bed - the ivy color matches our drapes!

This is a nice blanket. It warms up reasonably fast and provides an even heat over the entire blanket area. The only thing I would change is where the power cord attaches to the blanket. The cord comes out in the middle of the blanket on one of the narrower sides. So, if you have the blanket over you in the long direction, from your shoulders to your feet, the cord comes out by either your neck or feet. Because of my wall outlet location, the cord has to be by my neck, which can be a nuisance. I think it would be much better if the cord came out one of the corners instead.

Very pleased with my Sunbeam microplush electric throw. It warms up very quickly and then somehow adjusts to the temperature of your body. The warmth is even and consistent. DOES NOT feel like a thermostat is going on and off to adjust. All over warmth. I can equate the comfort to taking out a towel from a warm clothes dryer on a very cold day. The throw is not as soft as a microplush blanket because let's face it, it's an electric blanket and it has very supple wires inside...but you really can't feel them. The thermostat control doesn't look like the one pictured. It is long and is very easy to operate. One button changes the temperature from low to medium to high. Has a 3 hour shut off which is really convenient for kids who forget to shut it off or when sleeping. A couple of reviewers said that the plug was in the middle of the blanket, which is not so. The plug is positioned at the BOTTOM of the blanket in the middle. I don't find it to be in the way at all...also the electrical cord is sufficiently long enough to accommodate outlets behind a couch. Like it so much, I just ordered another one for my son who thinks the one I just got for myself, is his :) You won't regret this purchase!

I wish my electric blanket on my bed heated up this fast and was this warm. Perfect to snuggle up with while watching TV! Great blanket, great value, great seller!

I was excited to buy the blanket, because there's really nothing better than being wrapped in warmth.
But the chord keeps coming out of the plug-in-place on the blanket. If i move my arm or leg-- or even reposition the blanket it comes out. When it comes out, I not only have to plug it back into the blanket plug, but I also have to go back over to where it's plugged in the wall, and re-plug it in. Only then will the blanket heat back up. I've even tried duct-taping the blanket plug and the chord, but that doesn't even work. It is great when it does work.

I got this for my girlfriend for Christmas since she is always cold in the winter time.
Long story short, she ended up spending the majority of the winter curled up underneath it. It warms up quickly, and kept her nice and toasty even when we turned down the heat to save on utilities. Also, those who complain about the cord coming apart have not connected it properly. There is a plastic latch which when clipped in keeps the cord securely in place.

My wife is always cold. Always. She's also extremely hard to buy things for and she guesses every present.
Well she sure as heck didn't guess this one, and even though she poo-pooed it, she has been using it every single night since Christmas. It's great, very cozy and very warm. I even use it myself. The cable is a little annoying to deal with at times, but I've managed to figure out a way to have the cable permanently off to the side and that works out well. Some of the reviews talk about the power disconnecting, but it appears they fixed that in the current design as there is now a clip of sorts on the power cable that secures it soundly to the blanket and keeps it from coming out. Nice fix and works well.

Bought this for my wife, we just moved to Seattle from Florida and she is cold all the time. It is not that large of a blanket (it is only for her side). It has a nice auto timer that shuts off after 3 hours, but the blanket is still warm for hours afterwards.
The only complaint is with the placement of the cord. Center bottom of the blanket. Makes it hard to turn it on if you are already laying down, or you end with the code at the top next to your face. Would have been more useful on the side of the blanket (so it would stick out from the comforter). But I know my wife loves it, she even takes it down to watch TV and has said she wants a second one to keep on the couch in the basement.

This blanket is great! It heats up right away and the heat is even and luxurious! The blanket itself is very attractive and very soft. I love it so much I got a queen sized one for my bed!
