4.0 out of 5 stars Warm and Comfortable Blanket
Price: This was a decently priced product in comparison to other vendors.

Shipping: Awesome! Got it two days after order (with standard shipping).

Product Quality: Nice. The color matched the display. The blanket is soft and comfortable. There are some problems. The blanket doesn't heat evenly, but it isn't too noticeable. Also, you will be...

2.0 out of 5 stars Got what I'd paid for
I probably wouldn't suggest this blanket. It does the job but takes a really long time to warm up and is very thin. (Not very cozy)The blanket pills and sheds all over...probably as much if not more then the dog! I suppose I got what I'd paid for.

Also, you will be covered in fuzz! Owning this blanket is like owning a shedding pet. I have black pillow cases and sheets, and they are covered in fuzz. If you own lighter colored bedding and clothes, this won't matter as much.

1.0 out of 5 stars On my 3rd one, November 18, 2008
Purchased first one at Walmart and after a few washings (They are supposed to be machine washable) it stopped working. I took it back for another and sure enough didn't even make it through winter (I had not saved the receipt from the 1st purchase so that's why I am getting stuck with exchanges. I exchanged for my 3rd (hopefully last one) tonight.
I realize now I will not be able to "wash" this one in a washing machine.
I attempted to register it online but the model I purchased (only model the Walmart had) isn't even listed on Sunbeams website.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value and function, December 30, 2008
By
I got the mushroom-colored blanket in twin size on sale to use instead of a heated mattress pad on my full size bed. It spans the full size mattress perfectly from head to toe and side to side. The heat settings vary from very low to very high. I consider myself a very cold person who needs a lot of warmth to sleep at night, but I have found myself only keeping this blanket at the second-lowest setting. Overall it's a great solution and a great deal for what I needed, considering how expensive heated blankets are these days.

1.0 out of 5 stars can't wash it, ever!, April 10, 2009
This is absolutely ridiculous. This is the second unit I have gone thru already. The first one didn't last a week when I washed it on the gentle cycle as directed. I brought it back to the store. This time I placed it under the sheets as not to have to wash it as often. I turned the unit off, allowed it to cool, unplugged it from the wall. Then unplugged the controls from the blanket. Washed on gentle. Hang dried it. I plugged the controls back in. Then plug it into the wall and the controls are blinking yet again! I paid $90 for this, I wouldn't say I got my monies worth at all! My parents still have the ones we abused as kids over 28 years ago! I'm waiting for sunbeam to contact me back, I wonder what they will have to say. I hope their customer service is better than their quality control.

Smeggy (Collingswood NJ) - See all my reviews
this blanket pills like crazy after washing. also the seem split right open after the first time i washed & dried according to instructions. it did keep me toasty warm at night but i've used other electric blankets made of better material. The fabric of this blanket is horrible & the seem is cheaply sewn to open up a foot long after 1 washing.....i am returning this blanket.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent electric blanket - but missing 10 hr. Auto-Off feature, January 18, 2009
By
I ordered the Full size blanket in the Blue color. The control unit (EasySet-J85P single) does not have the 10-hour Auto-Off feature, which I wish it had. Also the power cords are very stiff and the control very light so it can only be used on the floor. I've only used the blanket on the lowest setting, since even that was really hot. It works well and is good quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and toasty!, January 7, 2009

This blanket keeps me warm and toasty, it really is one of the best things I have bought. I am always cold and sick and this blanket has really been terrific!

2.0 out of 5 stars connection falls out, October 31, 2011
The port where the cord plugs into this blanket is very loose & the slightest movement breaks the connection & shuts the blanket off. It's just not a tight fit. When you don't move & it stays plugged in it works fine. I waited too long to return mine so I guess I'll just have to try to duct tape it. Lovely.

4.0 out of 5 stars works well, good for the price, September 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My blanket works very well, but it does take some time to heat up, and the heat isn't completely evenly distributed.

The main problem with this blanket is that it leaves fuzz everywhere, on your bedspread, on your clothes, etc. So do yourself a favor and if you buy this, search for sheets and buy two that are the same size as the blanket. Sew the sheets together for an easy and cheap cover - no more fuzz!

My dog peed on my blanket so I put it through the washer + tumble dry. Came out great, everything still works.

Overall, I'd recommend this blanket ONLY if you get a covering for it. Otherwise, it'd just be too much trouble with all the fuzz.
