I am a licensed home baker and I use this timer at least 50 times in a week. It gets a workout and so do I! It hangs on the side of the refrigerator and is super easy to program. It is small and LOUD!!! I have three timers going at any one time and two are 'gentle reminders' to check the ovens. NOT this one! This timer is small, demanding and the sound is not one you can't ignore! The sound is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars...but then again...THAT may be the PERFECT reason to buy it!

Compared to some of the reviews I have read on other timers, I like this one better. It has a fairly loud pulsating alarm that goes off until you stop it. It also counts backwards to let you know how long it was ringing if you didn't hear it go off. The stop button automatically resets the same amount of time. You have to press it twice and press the reset to stop it completely. The auto reset would be good if you are slow cooking something. I set it on my bar just across from my stove and can hear it from anywhere in my place. The pulsating sound is easier to hear than a constant alarm.

The clock is redundant since my coffer maker, microwave, convection oven all have clocks. I would like to buy something that doesn't have a clock in it.

Great little timer but these magnetized devices have clearly not been amply tested! The magnet is not sufficient in strength to keep the timer, with battery installed, firmly in place, on my metal gas stove, it slips down! Other smaller timers with magnets stay quite well. Luckily, however, there is a firm base upon which the timer can sit on a nearby countertop.

This is an attractive addition to any kitchen. It has an on/off switch which is unusual and very nice to have to save the battery. Very easy to operate if you've ever used any digital timer before. I have a bit of a hearing problem and while the alarm isn't overly loud, it is shrill which will get your attention. I bought this one primarily to have by my computer where I spend time waiting for the laundry to dry. I can't hear the drier alarm, so use this. I'm going to buy another for the kitchen.

Mine broke and I am nearly bereft without it! Everything is getting burnt!

I got so used to having this enjoyable timer around. Easy to program. Large squishy buttons. Two separate timers. Alarms are JUST RIGHT for someone like me who tends to have three things on my mind at once, in that, they are LOUD and DO NOT turn off for a full minute! Plus if you hit the button only once, or neglect to hit Stop at all, it will go off again in another ten minutes! You have to hit the button twice to make it turn off for good. And it counts upward from when you press the stop button the first time. So it really gets your attention and then keeps reminding you until you take definitive action.

The other thing I so liked about it was the shape--round and easy to grab, with a satisfying heft in the hand. The magnet is a wee bit weak, as others have said, but adequate.

Having said that, I will say that my husband HATED this timer for some of the very same reasons I loved it. But he's just like that sometimes. :)

P.S. It broke after falling off the side of the filing cabinet from a height of about 3 1/2 feet, my fault.

It is a good timer so far. It is loud, which I wanted, but it borders on annoying. I would like it much better if it was able to time seconds. You can't use it to time anything for 1/2 minute. The magnet is not very strong. Other than that, it has worked and I have had no problems with it.

Amazon was the seller. Here are the things that I like about this timer:

It is loud, but not too loud. When the timer is in the kitchen, I can easily hear it in every room (behind closed doors) in my single story home...with the exception of one bathroom and closet that are in the back of the home. No other sounds were present when I performed this test (no washer or dryer, no dishwasher, no TV, no radio).

Here are the features that were listed on the front of the box:
* counts down from 12 hours
* continuous alarm rings until stopped
* automatic count up after alarm sounds
* time changes to minutes and seconds when less than 1 hour
* magnetic back
* low battery icon
* battery included

I really like the "continuous alarm rings until stopped" feature.

The "automatic count up after alarm sounds" feature is nice too.

It allows you to set hours and minutes, but not seconds.

It is easy to reset the timer. So, if the timer is sounding, I press the top button to stop the sound. If I press the top button again, the count-up stops. When I press the middle button below the display once, the timer resets to the last time I set it for. And when I press the middle button below the display again, the timer is reset to 0.

There is a magnet on the back, but I do NOT recommend using it. It is small. And based on the placement of the buttons on the timer, it is very likely that the timer will fall off the frig if you try to press the buttons while the timer is on the frig. I think the magnet is meant to stick the timer to a frig or oven, but not to actually use the timer while it is stuck on the object.
