Very soft and great for the couch. I wish it were a little longer (I am 5'6), but it gets really warm and if you have pets, they will be all over you (and te blanket). I would buy it again.

I gave this blanket to my mother for Christmas. I was disappointed at first at how the wiring inside the blanket made the blanket so stiff, the fabric is soft though. My mother is thrilled with it and uses it every evening while she knits or sits at her computer. Her legs are always cold regardless of how high the temp is set in the house. Now she is so cozy in the evening!

This throw is wonderful.
When my niece visited in March, from Nevada to Ohio, she used it all the time because she was so cold. She said she was gong to order one for herself.
It is just the right size for using in a chair while watching tv on a chilly evening or afternoon.
