I LOVE this book. It is not compiled by subject so I can read right through it and not only hear about subjects beginning with 3 lettters of the alphabet. The quotes are widely varied and come from fantastic, well known books as well as books I have later been prompted to read. I can not recommend this book enough. The quotes are thoughtful and intriguing. If you enjoy quote books, I can not imagine a better choice.

I've been reading and collecting books of quotations since I was about 13, and this is one of the best I've found. The quotes aren't arranged by category, so every one comes as a pleasant surprise. And although the book title would make you think this is merely another collection of "positive" quotations, that isn't true. There's something for whatever mood you're in. I can't say enough good things about this book.

I haven't read it but am replacing my brother's copy which is literally falling apart from use. Since he is an aficionado of quote books, and this is his favorite of 30 years, that should be some kind of recommendation.

I bought the book in good shape-used-though I did not realize it had that much writing in it. The writing didn't bother me as I was seeking quotes. I have a writers blog and I end each blog with a noteworthy quote, something that will inspire and stimulate an up and coming writer. I will continue to make Amazon purchases for their efficiency of handling and price.
