Product Description

Smart Way Controlling of all Fans & Airflow. The Rheosmart 6 Fan Controller is designed to make any existing 3-pin fan automatically regularized by the PWM signal from the Motherboard! With six independent channels at a maximum of 30W/channel, a wide selection of fans can be supported. The Rheosmart 6 Fan Controller operates in two different modes; when connected to a PWM-enabled motherboard, you can allow the system to auto-adjust fan speed through the motherboard's temperature sensor. When switched onto manual mode by pressing the small button below each knob, you turn that specific channel into manual control mode.

Very easy to install and works great so far.

I can now have control over 6 fans thru Rheosmart and the rest of fans are being controlled thru the motherboard.
Zarteaga
I needed a way to turn the fans down so the compute was silent at night and it works perfectly.

So far so good. Very simple no frills fan controller. Has a LED light below each knob. Green for manual, red for auto. Was looking for a fan controller that wasn't too flashy. Didn't want a bright obnoxious LED display that is going to light up my house. Very easy to install and works great so far. Wires have enough length to them making it simple to keep your build nice and neat. Would and will buy again.

The only gripe I have about this fan controller is that the face plate isn't the same size as a 5 1/4" bay cover.. so there's gaps and it looks goofy in my case.

I have a first generation Cooler Master 690 case with 3 140mm case fans and 2 120mm case fans and a thin 80mm case fan on the back side. The cable extensions are long enough to reach the top most bay where I mounted the controller. Quality of the material is very good from the knobs to the metal mesh. Has an odd foam attached to the underside. The cables are unwrapped, so you may want to wrap those yourself if you have extra heatshrink handy.

Only con is, the molex connector on my Corsair TX750 power supply was larger then the molex connector on the controller. By cutting one side (just a single cut in the plastic on the controller), it was able to spread to accept the PSU's molex connector. If you have a molex to molex adapter (from a fan connector or something else, you may want to use it if your molex connector will not fit.

Purchased this product on 1/20/12, received it on 1/25/12 and installed it on that same day. I have to say, the installation was a breeze with the extra cables provided. The unit itself feels sturdy and well made. I love the mesh front because it blends in perfectly with my case. The LED's are a bit bright, but my case is facing away from me so I don't notice it too much. The PWM control is an awesome feature, I am definitely taking advantage of that. If your Mobo has a Sys_fan connector you won't have to worry about connecting the PWM to your processor fan (I used the sys_fan because I just felt weird putting my processors life in this controllers hands).

The only con I have about this controller is the length of it in the case. My case has a self-locking mechanism in the 5.25 bays. The controller isn't long enough to slide into the locking feature so it kinda just hangs there on one side while being screwed in on the other, if that makes any sense...this makes it lopsided, although you can barely tell. So just a warning, it's not like your optical drives which are long and snug on your 5.25 drive rails.

Was looking for a fan controller whose priority was actually to control fans and not displaying fancy lights. The design is sleek and sober, a nice touch to my rig. I can now have control over 6 fans thru Rheosmart and the rest of fans are being controlled thru the motherboard.

It is built good, does not feel cheap or else. Easy to install and operate.

Just make sure the cables of your fans are long enough, but this controller come with extensions.

It does the job and it does it well.

I just bought my second one of these so that I could stick it away in the closet for my next computer build. I bought the first one 3 years ago to use with a Corsair 600T case. I confess that I basically bought it for looks (there were others with the same functionality) because:
1) The mesh-like front on this matches the mesh front of the 600T almost identically;
2) I wanted something subtle without flashing lights and colors, and I liked that there is one red/green LED for each control
3) I like turning knobs and pushing buttons (each knob has a small button under it), as opposed to touchscreens and sliders

I should note that after 3 years the one I bought 3 years ago continues to work without a hitch.

It took some time installing it but once I got everything connected, it worked just fine to power up all of my fans.
