The Burst doesnt shine, August 9, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sunburst Alley (Paperback)
The idea of this book is great - show heaps of pictues of the beautiful old "Burst" Les Pauls. Unfortunately to a great extent this idea has been let down by poor quality photos (in some cases TERRIBLE photos). Considering the book has minimal information or text in it, the quality of photography is all the more important and dissapointing. If anyone is interested in this topic, make sure you track down "Beauty of the Burst" first. It is a fantastic book with outstanding photos AND information about the "Burst". If you already have that book then consider this one to be a supplement and as youd probably expect, some of the guitars do appear in both books. But hey, its still a book about The Burst.....
