Put this together yesterday. Instructions were easy to follow but you have to be careful which part is which. It is nice looking with the mocha color and wicker pattern. However, the box seems a little on the flimsy side and most pieces just snap together. The lid doesn't sit tight enough in my opinion since it will be exposed to the elements (mainly rain). It does come with a metal lock plate to add a lock which will help keep the lid secure. I think a latch would've been better. And I like the fact it has legs that keep the bottom off the ground. But don't expect the lid to hold any weight. It is a curved lid, so water rolls right off, but it also means it can't really be used for a table. To give an idea for how much it holds, I put in cushions for 2 chairs (backs and bottoms), 2 ottomans, 1 loveseat (back and bottom), and 2 regular-sized pillows. It was full after that. If I compressed the cushions, it might hold more.

UPDATE: After a couple weeks, I wish I had not thrown away the box as I would like to return this item. The lid is warping in the sun, which is not good for a "deck box".
2nd UPDATE: Had this for almost a year and the metal tab used to keep the lid locked broke where it attaches to the plastic lid. Now, I do not have a way to keep the lid shut and a good wind will lift the lid. That's a big problem during a thunderstorm!

I was a little hesitant on ordering this after reading some of the reviews but I did not experience any of the negatives mentioned. The deck box is not a cheap plastic, it is a wicker resin that is plastic-like. It is a deck box and it is meant to be outside in the rain and elements - wicker is not. It went together very easily and since it just snaps together, I'm not sure how anyone could possible put it together wrong. The only thing negative is that it does not latch really tight but even through a major wind storm, it did not blow open. The curved top prevented water from accumulating on it. It does give you the option of putting a lock on it for a more secure closure. It looks great on our deck and holds all of the grandkids pool toys.

Bought a slightly larger version of this from Cost Co for 199 last year. Love it and would pay the same, but they don't have it anymore (they have the wood-sided version). Nice to see that Amazon has a similar deck box, though with some lesser features I am told and smaller capacity. The one that I have is a nice storage box that looks very classy in comparison to other gray-beige boxes, especially from a distance (it is plastic/resin, after all). Good functionality (open/close, large storage capacity), but took me about 50 minutes to assemble and I am reasonably handy (I am a 7 out of 10 on a handiness scale). Unless you are looking for a natural fiber or real wood box, I think you will like this over most standard pool/deck boxes. Also, it is not made for use as a seat, so look elsewhere if you need that.
