Major design flaw (own two),
This review is from: Suncast GH1732 Outdoor Trash Hideaway (Lawn & Patio)
I have had two of these for a few years. They are extremely durable, but there is a major design flaw.
The inside has plastic ribs design to help strengthen the containers. This is where the problem is. When you fill trash bags up inside the container, the bags expand and the trash nestles into the grooves. This makes pulling a full bag of trash out of the the container a major struggle. If your trash bag is on the thin side, it will tear several times and you will be wrestling, tugging, pulling, twisting and yanking with everything you have. The other part of this is that the larger of the two openings is smaller than the overall width of the inside. Therefore the bag is bigger inside and all expanded and caught up inside the inner ribs. I dread Trash Tuesdays because of the pain that it has become to remove the trash. One other note, the containers features very deep graining which keeps the item from looking like cheap plastic, but beware, this also means the dirt settles in. The only way I have found to truly clean these is with a power washer.

Bought 2...then another...,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Suncast GH1732 Outdoor Trash Hideaway (Lawn & Patio)
and I plan on buying at least 2 more. No tools needed for assembly. It took more time to get the parts out of the box than it did to put it togwether.
I originally bought them for the pool area. They don't stand out like a big blue rubbermaid would, plus, the lid is attached. I live in Texas and have teenagers, the big rubbermaid lid, if not clamped, would blow into the next county. Ths lid stays on and closed, with a quick slide, it clamps closed. The elements stay out and the top doesn't blow open. My husband loved them so much, I bought one for his deer camp. Since the cold weather hit, I brought one into the house so the teenagers (heaven forbid) didn't have to go to the garage for recycling. Actually, they didn't, I was always retrieving from the trash. It worked, we have more recycling to put out each week than we ever had. I'm keeping it in there and ordering a replacement for the pool area and another one to place next to it labeled 'recycling'. I can't say enough about these except that Amazon was the best price I found anywhere. The perk? I you signed up for Amazon Prime....you can get it in 2 days...no additional shipping charges!

Trash Hideaway a good idea,

This is a good concept but beware sharp edges inside when lifting out the bag. You may want to line this with a separate plastic bag to prevent tearing.
