Overlooked gem!,
By A Customer
This review is from: SUNCHYME (Audio CD)
This song is a perfect club tune that has been largely overlooked. It's actually very rare to come across the song without looking for it. Pete Tong (Radio 1 DJ, London) used it in one of his Ministry of Sound mixes, and I've been hooked ever since! It's a classic dance mix of the song "Life In A Northern Town" by the Dream Academy which was originally released in the early 80s. One website calls "Sunchyme" the most overlooked gem of 1998. I completely agree!

Absolutely enchanting and inspirational,
By A Customer

Sunchyme has been used extensively in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Swimming Trials. The Afro style beat and rhythm was so appropriate for the occasion - so uplifting, I could dance and listen to it all day. Great music for aerobics too.

An inspirational song, theme of the 1998 DC AIDS Ride,
By Meg Solley (meg@mwcog.org) (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sunchyme (Audio CD)
Sunchyme was played during the closing ceremony of the 1998 Washington DC AIDS Ride, as 1500 bikers made the final leg of their 330 mile journey from Raleigh NC. After four days of extreme physical exertion and mental challenge, four days filled with emotions I can't even describe, there wasn't a dry eye within hearing distance when SunChyme started playing. The song is filled with hope and joy and triumph, but tempered with sorrow, like the AIDS Ride itself.

The All-Moods Single,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sunchyme (Audio CD)
No matter what mood you're in Sunchyme will pick you up and shake you by the collar. A great upbeat, uplifting single from a brand-new group. Although the album Sunmachine can't quite compare, this is definitely the best of what they have to offer. The Radio Edit and Original Mixes are well worth the price and Sasha's Remix also kicks out a big dancefloor-rattling groove. Prince Quick Mix's mix is a bit too repetitve and not melodic enough to make it in my books, but the other tracks make this a disc well worth playng if you're in a low mood.

International Style Music with Great Beat,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sunchyme (Audio CD)
Sunchyme is the music heard on the AccuVue Eye Contacts TV commercials. This song makes you feel like you are not listening to normal mainstream type music, because of its foreign style. It also does not focus on a negative or positive topic (such as love or death). Even so it has a very uplifting tune.-J

my goodness i love this song. It's so inspirational and powerful. I've never heard anything like it before. It has a beat that no other song could possibly have. It's the best song I've ever heard.

Mysteriously amusing.,

The song has a blend of foreign and domestic sounds and has no set mood. The song has no words and is largely instrumental. Beautiful.
