This review is from: Sundance, the Robert Sundance Story (Hardcover)
I first heard of this book by reading Ian Franziers book, On The Rez. It tells the tale of an American Indian who drinks a lot, goes to prison, spends time on skid row, has the DT's, gets into fisticuffs, has trouble with women. Its a good read about living this kind of life in the 1940's and 1950's. If this is your bag of tea, try and get a copy of this book. Of course at the end, Robert Sundance reforms his ways, and becomes a good guy without a drinking problem, so there is a happy ending.
