First Off, LadyHawke is one of the freshed and hottest artists come along in a great while.
Her production is so tightly cobbled, and it still has some grit. Totally hot production.
Now for the Bad Rave and Rant on Remixes:
ReMixes of ALL artists are really 'out'--let's ring that bell. Jittery stop-start editing, and repetitive digital cut and paste--you've got to be numbed out at a rave to get a kick out of it. Re-mixes have not grown in new directions for years.
They always add the ridicuously unlikely rapper/hip hop guy to the music of an artist that has no related frame of reference.
'Not that there is anything wrong with' hip-hop.
ALL remixes are fresh out of ideas, and therefore--not fresh.
Re-Mixers, expand your mind without raves.
