Book Description

November 7, 2005
Eight men, who are complete strangers from diverse backgrounds and are different ages and races, meet for the sole purpose of taking golf lessons. When the men start going out after their golf lessons, they discover they have common interests and enjoy the camaraderie, but they hesitate to discuss their private lives. The reluctancy stems from the fact that Bob Webster’s wife is older than him; Donnie Wilson is homosexual; Lenny Harper is a three-time divorcee; Woody Roberts is twenty years older than his wife; Russell Allen’s wife is physically abusive; Justin Williams has served time in prison; and Billy Ray Taylor and Austin Hayes are in interracial marriages. When the golf lessons end, the men begin to golf on Sundays. Friendships begin to develop until the men’s wives and significant others meet. At that point, secrets are revealed, relationships threatened, and the question is whether or not to continue Sunday golf.

4.0 out of 5 stars SUNDAY GOLF, November 29, 2005
This review is from: Sunday Golf (Paperback)
The characters are so real and interesting. This story being about men and their growing friendships. Sunday Golf explores their vulnerabilities, insecurities and secrets. When their wives and significant others get involved it really get's your juices going and you cannot help but have strong feelings for what's going on with them. The cliche "page turner" is overated but, this really is a good read and it will have you wanting to know what's going to happen next. Russel's wife Connie is a "B"!
GOOD JOB MRS. HARRIS

4.0 out of 5 stars Sunday Golf, January 29, 2006
This review is from: Sunday Golf (Paperback)
I just finished reading the book and really enjoyed it -- I couldn't put it down. I liked the way the characters were introduced individually which gave the reader a chance to get to know them before they interacted with each other and their significant others. The ending left the reader wondering about some of the characters and what happens next. Is there the possibility of a sequel? If so, I can't wait to read it -- hope one is in the works. Excellent book and great reading!!!!!

I liked the way the characters were introduced to you before they all came together for Sunday Golf. After reading this book you will
definitely want to know what's going on with them after Sunday Golf.
This was an enjoyable and easy to read book about regular people who
like doing some of the same things we like doing. Lorraine Harris is going to be my new Mary Higgins Clark. I'm looking forward to her next offering in much the same way I used to wait for Mary Higgins Clark's new books. Can't wait.
